They make the best hand-squeezed margaritas and serve Black Angus beef tacos (along with many other Tex- Mex offerings) and have since 1975!A quirky marquee is out front on the corner of West 5th and Campbell. Every day they change their bill board with a new pun (everything imaginable).    They encourage you to submit your pun on their website and of course have permission to post them. It’s one of those “Keep Austin Weird” things that we all in Austin love!They post them on Instagram because everyone loves them. Our own Myrl Jeffcoat follows them as well as Kathy Streib and chef Endre Barath, Jr.! I also see Debe Maxwell, CRS has been following them. We all need some laughter or a chuckle each day! Daniel Johnston settled in ATX in the 1980’s about the time I moved here. It’s the last week of school and the new Safety Patrol group has been chosen! Starting on Monday they began their training so next year they will be in place to take over. Beautiful Beckett is so proud to be chosen and was thrilled several of her best friends were too. This week-end with so many sports events going on Beautiful Beckett took her jewelry making kit to Hudson’s soccer game, later in the afternoon. She was set up for business and sitting under the shade of her chair, she was happy to do something quieter, chill until the game was over.You never know what you might find siblings doing on the sidelines of the games. If there are some of her friends around they all make bracelets! We are back from our weekend of fun in San Diego, celebrating yet another college graduate in the family! It was nice to be out of Austin and enjoy family, fun and especially some time with my son and daughter. This is my daughters last of three children who graduated from college! My son has two (Handsome Hudson and Beautiful Beckett), so will be awhile before we have 2 more college graduations. This week-end was a sports filled week-end for Handsome Hudson and Beautiful Beckett. Hudson’s (#37) Lone Star soccer team made it to the tournament so they played 8 am and 2 pm on Saturday and 8 am this Sunday morning. Hudson missed the swim meet (can’t be in 2 places at once). Beckett swam in the swim meet and was still able to make the Hudson’s afternoon match. Hudson’s team didn’t win but they played hard and played well. Giving it your best shot is so important! Monday night I was invited to hear Lewis Capaldi in Concert at the Moody Amphitheater in Austin! A perfect night, cooler, a gentle breeze blowing, listening to great music while sipping cool cocktails in the VIP section in Adirondack chairs with friends and colleagues; courtesy of Independence Title. The night was epic! I enjoy the Scottish singer-songwriter from Whiteburn, a town in West Lothian. Lewis learned to play the drums and guitar when he was just two years old. He started singing at the pubs when he was nine and by 17 he made the decision to pursue a full-time career in music and was discovered by his manager through his SoundCloud account.Lewis Capaldi is currently on tour in the US and is feeling the love from his audiences! April was an incredible month, who said real estate is slow! Our NW Coldwell Banker office crushed it with an incredible 28 agents eligible for the April Million Dollar Club by listing, writing business or closing sales of 1 million or more! We are adapting to the shift in the market of longer days on market, lower list prices, and increased inventory (although not by much).  It’s exciting to see everyone's hard work in servicing their clients is paying off.   Our office wrote 69 contracts for a volume of $45.8M, with an average sales price of $663,000. We took 45 listings for a total of $40M, with an average sales price of $754,000. We closed 44 contracts for $27.3M with an average sold price of $662,000 plus 27 leases closed! This was a busy week-end!  Handsome Hudson's last soccer game (tournaments start next weekend) was Saturday morning. It was a humid morning, but we were there to watch and cheer Hudson’s team play in South Austin. They won 2-1! The team played well with everyone hustling.... Well done boys!!       At 8 am this morning Hudson, Beckett and their mom got up and ran in the HEB 5K Sunshine Run. It is a non-profit, pet friendly event. 100% of every dollar from registrations directly benefits Austin Sunshine Camps.
