Spring Forward. It's Not..Too Late. Most of our clocks automatically moved ahead, except for the stove, microwave and coffee maker. It's almost impossible to miss anything important anymore, like church, breakfast with friends or showing houses to clients - unless, of course, you sleep in late. 🌼 Come on Spring! 🌸 ❓❓❓Did you know❓❓❓ Benjamin Franklin is credited with the idea for Daylight Saving Time back in 1784, but the idea was not implemented until 1895. It did not become law until 1966. Some states do not participate in Daylight Saving Time and continue to run on the same time year 'round. Talks are in the works to do away with DST. If you ask me, I'd say keep it lighter later in the day. Speaking of good day...I wish that for you!

Denver got SOME SNOW!    Forecasters said we could get more "ornamental snow", so maybe an inch or so in the City.  OH MY, thinking I got around 5 inches at my house.   YIPPEE!   Before Friday, we have only had 13" all winter, which is the driest winters we have seen, so any snow was welcome!   The mountains got some much needed snow, but they haven't gotten much this year, and the resorts are hurting.Selling more of my things, and the house gets more and more "naked" as one of my friends said.   Haven't heard anything about the VISA, but don't expect to.  They should alert me when it has been approved, and probably not until then, unless they have questions.   Still watching for rentals and of course loving the Portugal Expat Facebook page.  They share so many very cool places all over...

I've written before about the various frequencies that can provide us with amazing healing benefits, but many have not heard about the medicinal benefits of linen. So why is this important? Our bodies have a vibrational frequency between 62 and 68 Hz. When we are healthy, our frequency remains in this range. When we are ill, it makes sense that our frequency (energy level) diminishes. What is so fascinating about linen is that it comes from flax fibers that are woven. They contain a very unique crystalline structure. This structure allows linen to provide a natural flow of energy (frequency) through the human body. Because of this, linen resonates with our bodies and provides an excellent environment for well-being and healing properties.Synthetic fabrics actually disrupt the electrical ...

When the dough won't rise, the bread stays flat. This is true in real estate. Not all of our transactions are successful. Sometimes a deal falls flat for various reasons. We don't throw in the towel when that happens; we pull ourselves up by the bootstraps and get after it again. This week, the dough simply didn't rise properly. Could have been the starter or the temperature, or a number of other reasons. Ho hum. But the fighter in me will try again. So how do you respond when a deal goes flat? Do you throw in the towel? Give up? Run for cover? Our clients need us to be able to step up, remain calm, and to begin again. Here are some real estate realities:🍞 The Flat Deal - Everything was going well until it wasn't. Sometimes, just like a recipe, one little thing can create havoc! The financ...

This Week…Chocolate: YES-Easy: Double YES Yes, I’m speaking to you, Nina Hollander, Broker! This is so easy you’ll kick yourself if you don’t make it! There is never a time when I don’t have some form of chocolate on hand. In full disclosure, I have a variety of chocolate and baking ingredients for those occasions when the chocolate sweet tooth calls. These are easy chocolate croissants that can be made in the time it takes for you to heat your oven or air fryer.  Ingredients: -Pillsbury crescent rolls (I always have a small (4) and regular-sized (8)can in my fridge.-Nutella -Chocolate chips (optional, but my opinion is the more chocolate, the better)Separate the dough into triangles.  Spread as much of the Nutella as you want, then add the chocolate chips. Roll the dough starting with ...

Journal Entry 3/5/2026I took a class called Fine Printing Press at the University of North Texas. There I was able to see and examine firsthand some of the oldest books in the world. Many of the original books were limited editions. What you see in the Feature image is "The well at the world's end/by William Morris, 1896: Kelmscott Press." Written and printed by William Morris, with four pictures designed by Sir Edward Burne-Jones. Limited edition of 350 copies. Bound in vellum with cloth ties. The decorated initials; chapter headings in red; text in double columns; some pages within wood-engraved compartments were amazing! Edward Burne-Jones created illustrations for the Kelmscott Press by producing detailed pencil drawings, then photographed and transferred onto woodblocks for engravin...

Friday Fun…One Hour Less This weekend, we’ll lose one hour between Saturday and Sunday morning. I’ve never been quite sure where the hour goes; however, miraculously, it reappears in the Fall. Thanks to our digitized world, with few exceptions, we will not have to endure the tedious task of resetting our clocks. My own internal body clock always takes a few weeks to adjust. For example, at 6 am “new time”, my body is going to rebel, saying it’s only 5 am. And, when the clock says “Time to consider getting ready for bed”...I’ll be like a child who says “Awww, one more hour, please!”Now for the good news…we’ll have more hours of daylight! That means extra hours for gardening (hear that, Wanda), and it will be easier for the evening showings of your listings! So for some Friday Fun…-Do yo...

(Although I'm retired, I love sharing my knowledge and learning from other real estate industry professionals.)
“Your body is a masterpiece of invisible engineering.”  Did you know...The human body contains about 60,000 miles of blood vessels? If all the arteries, veins, and capillaries in your body were stretched end to end, they would extend roughly 60,000 miles. That is enough distance to circle the Earth more than twice. I don't know about you, but I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around that! Every heartbeat sends blood traveling through that enormous internal highway system. Oxygen is delivered. Nutrients are transported. Waste is carried away. It is a constant, coordinated effort happening every second of every day. When you think about it, the human body might be the most sophisticated transportation network ever created.Fun Fact Friday Reflection:If you had a 60,000-mile road syste...
