Jim is an absolute professional. He was thorough, detailed and blunt about all discovered issues. He took the time to explain the issues he found, allowed us to follow him as he worked and answered all of our questions very matter-of-factly. My wife and I are very grateful to Jim and highly recommend him. Nicholas & Richelle Sherwood

We just had our inspection done on a house and we were more than impressed with the process. After spending a half an hour on the phone speaking with my husband about the process, what to expect and general inspection information; Jim sent him a copy of the contract via email as well as a copy of the CT regs for home inspection. None of the other companies sent this or even mentioned it and they did not spend even a fraction of the time discussing the home inspection process with us. Upon arriving at the house, Jim was already there with a team of people. They were friendly and informative. In reference to the roof, I want to note it had rained and snowed on and off last week, but Jim still was up on the roof for quite a while inspecting it. He was in crawlspaces, a grungy basement, a tiny attic and he seemed to have observed everything. He allowed us to tag along asking questions along the way. He was so helpful and informative about what we should expect and what he found. This is our first house so we were more than just a bit anxious about the inspection but he helped us relax with his calm demeanor and wealth of knowledge. He inspected the house on Friday and by Saturday night we had the report. Yes, there were separate fees for water and radon, but that is what most companies do. It gives you the ability to test a la carte and I appreciated that we didn't have to have more tests done than we wanted. We were able to pick and choose. So far, our experience with JRV has been a great one. We called over 10 places before finally choosing JRV and I'm glad we did. I do not feel that Jim overlooked anything and he was very thorough. I recommend him highly!
Jim was excellent to work with. He was patient with us and our many questions and took the time to explain everything. He offered us useful information and did a thorough job! Overall, he was a pleasure to work with and someone I would recommend.
Roman Simanovich If you need a quality home inspector then JRV is the one for you. He took his time and answered all my questions. His report is very thorough and included details on everything that was out of the ordinary. The inspection paid for itself because as soon as we explained some of the problems to the seller we renegotiated the price. If you want pen written reports that are not legible or understandable, with an inspector that will not even go on your roof to check the chimney then JRV is not for you, however if you want a thorough report with detailed pictures of every problem before you make the biggest buying decision of your life then just take a look at the sample report on their website, that's what sold us.
JRV Home Inspections saved us from buying a home with a $20000 foundation problem and $3000 worth of electrical and chimney problems. We could not walk into a home that needed $23000 worth of immediate repairs without being compensated for it and since the seller would not lower the price, we walked away from the house. Your fee was worth every single dollar. I would give you ten stars if I could. I will be sure to hire you again once we find another house.

James --- Thank you for the recent, very thorough home inspection. We found the effort you put into the inspection and your report to be most professional and gave us great confidence in your findings. We purchased three homes in the past. We wish we had known you then. You can be assured that we will recommend you to others if we can. Thank you again, Al and Roz Zeisler

Hi Jim- Now that Dave and I are settling in to our new home, I wanted to take a few minutes to write and thank you for the amazing job you did with our home inspection (or in our case, multiple inspections) From the first minute Dave and I met you, we knew we were in good hands. Your professional demeanor, yet friendly personality put us at ease about the process of buying our home. The report you gave us was very detailed and easy to understand. As we discovered, even if you are purchasing a brand new home, it is EXTREMELY important that you have a knowledgable inspector go over everything. Many times people decide against having an inspection when they are buying a newly built home but that is not a good move. The things you discovered during your inspection would have cost us at least ten times what your fee was to repair. It was the best money we spent. You were so thorough and patient with all of our questions. You always got back to us very quickly, and never seemed annoyed with the many things we asked you to clarify for us. Thanks again for your great service and knowledge. If anyone would like to e-mail us for a reference, feel free to give them our e-mail address. We would be happy to sing your praises. You are a god-send and we wish you continued success. Warmest Regards, Dave and Joyce Bagley Middletown, CT
Jim, We would like to thank you for your knowledge and professionalism during our home inspection. We found your performance impeccable and commendable, and this from two prior homeowners who never experienced such a systematic and thorough attention to detail. We walked away confident in our selection of inspectors and secure in knowing we were given full disclosure of inspection findings written and verbally as well as additional reading material for new homeowners. Later that day we found ourselves already speaking highly of your company and we plan on continuing to do just that at any opportunity which presents itself. Thanks again for making the process of buying a home that much easier for us. We will be recommending you to our family, friends and acquaintances. Sincerely, Jim & Tina Wallingford, CT

Dear Mr. Quarello, My wife and I would like to say thank you again for the detailed inspection you conducted at our future home. When buying a new home, the consumer is always worried that the inspector will run through the home overlooking the items that will later cost a fortune to repair. I myself being a carpenter am aware of a lot of the little things that should be carefully inspected. You took around four hours (and god knows most inspectors after 2 or 3 hours just want to pack it up!) and still were willing to stick around to make sure we were fully aware of the things we needed to know!! In a world where customer service is pretty much shot, its GREAT to see someone take such pride in the work they provide for the consumer, and explain everything we were not so sure about in such great detail to us was more than we were expecting. Thanks to you we now know our investment inside and out!, and that's priceless! Sincerely, Christopher S. Metzger Wallingford, CT
