 Here's a quick look at the Bellingham Real Estate Market Report for August 2017 for residential home sales.The number of residential sales for the month was 114 that is 11 less than August 2016 and the 4 more than last month. The Average sales price of $465,417  is up by 2% compared to July 2016 and down 3% from last month.The number of homes for sales has been going up but it is still relatively low and keeping the average price going up. People are holding onto their homes and there is not much new construction.Inventory is up a bit from the past few months but still extremely low at 220 homes for sale the day I write this, keeping the market really hot for this time of year.  Bellingham Technical College's next home inspector training course that begins on October 9, 2017 is full. I have never seen one of our classes fill-up so quickly. Once registration began, we were at full capacity in 45 days. Often there is a slot or two open right up until the first day of class. To keep the class small, so we can provide personal attention, we will only accept 12 students per offering. Our next course is scheduled for early February 2018.
