Happy Thanksgiving to all who read this post. I am thankful for another year coming soon to an end.  Nevertheless, I am still working to the finish line, Holidays or not.I am equally thankful for this amazing community that we are on, Active Rain that is. I am also grateful as well for the community I get to work in. How many people can say their real estate office is in Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive?I always cherish every moment being together with friends, family, coworkers and my furry family. Those of you who know me well, know that to me Thanksgiving is one of the most important Holidays of the year.  Since Thanksgiving's history goes back to when the Pilgrims arrived in the United States and were greeted by the Natives. The earliest of Immigrants. As a legal Immigrant, my parents alw...

Having been on Active Rain for all these many years has been both rewarding and beneficial for me. The reasons are too many to mention, so I'll simply say this from both a real estate and a personal perspective.  And no this is not a post about being grateful for being on Active Rain😊 (even though I am).  One of the joys all of these years has been the Thanksgiving Active Rain Challenge when Debe Maxwell, CRS  asks us to share what we are grateful for three or four times during the month of November.   I once read that pets are a great source of social and emotional support for their humans, and very likely the only living being that will love and accept you unconditionally. This inspired me to do some internet research and, interestingly enough, pets were in the top 10 of just about ev...

For those that read yesterday's blog - which gas range did I choose? Here is the big Reveal: I chose the Viking Gas Range. There is a great deal of debate over who makes the best gas range.  The reality is, like most things in life, in the end it really does come down to personal preference, choice and need. As much as I would love a kitchen remodel, I did not want to spend $120,000. (Remodeling any part of your home is a disruption - especially if you have pets and/or young children -but I tend to think the kitchen has to be the most stressful remodel of all the rooms) Hence, I had to stick with the 30-inch selections for the new stove.  As I mentioned in my previous post, I did a great deal of research and at the end it was down to the Wolf or the Viking 30” stove.  I was actually qui...

As most of you know, cooking for me is a passion; some might even say it is my lifestyle. Since about the age of three, I would be in the kitchen watching my mother and/or our housekeeper at the stove. When I would visit my paternal grandmother, I learned that she used to be a professional cook. On the other hand, my maternal grandfather loved to cook as well.  With all that said, I guess you could say cooking is in my genes.Over these many years, I’ve had the pleasure of eating in some of the best restaurants with renowned Chefs in their kitchens. It might be more accurate to say this has been a privilege as well as pleasure.  Having traveled various parts of the world, experiencing gourmet food was a reality for me and I realize others did not have this opportunity.  Since I was also ...

Imagine if you were catching a flight from LAX? I was heading to my favorite Drycleaners in Manhattan Beach, CA and I got caught in the middle of this traffic hell.Keep in mind the flights from LAX stop after about 10:30pm and start up around 5:30 am.Now with that said, when I lived in Europe construction was done during the late-night hours not to disturb the rush hour traffic and just normal traffic either. Clearly here in Los Angeles we do not care about making life easier for the public.Well see for yourself, it took me 25 minutes to go from one light to the third light on Sepulveda Blvd. Now no big deal for me I was just going to the Drycleaners to pick up and drop off some shirts. On the other hand, imagine if you were flying out of LAX? This could have been a huge problem. Anyway,...
