Happy Anniversary to Diane!!Well last year Diane & I spent October 4th at The Roof Garden in the Peninsula Hotel. We were having a Linner, late lunch early dinner, after all it was her 29th Anniversary. Well Cheers to another year, this year she was celebrating her 30th Anniversary, what to do? How can we out do that?Seriously not going into details she is having a surgery coming up in the near future and we opted not to focus on her 30th Anniversary. In my real estate market (South Pasadena, CA) - the homes range from about $1.5 million to over $5 million. That means the photos are always professionally taken - even for modest homes or those needing repairs. I just listed a fixer upper for sale at land value only - since the structure needs considerable repairs. Even though the house is partly demolished, and there are studs sticking out - I opted to create the best photos possible by properly prepping the house and hiring a professional photographer. Our La Quinta weather is dreamy most of the year.  Really.  Our winters are warm and mild and we have sunshine when the rest of the country is piled with snow.  We play golf in shorts in January.  That's why so many people spend the "season" here and leave their frigid midwest, or Pacific northwest homes behind.  The summer here is hot and like most years we have a "last blast" of heat in late September or October before the fall weather settles in.  Last week we had record breaking temps at 108° + and of course, I'm taking advantage and swimming my daily laps.  I don't mind the heat- in fact I really love the hot desert days and balmy nights.  Fall will arrive soon enough... I'm still drinking ice coffee... but it does have pumpkin spice in it!🎃

Tuna Noodle Casserole with Spinach & Artichokes... well it was Friday, and I wanted to do a twist on an old recipe our parents used to make.The ingredients were, fresh baby spinach, frozen Artichoke Hearts, garlic, and of course egg noodles.Oh, and let me not forget three cans of tuna, some butter, some olive oil and some milk and a bit of flour.If you are interested, I can do a full-blown recipe.  The key once everything was done to bake it in the oven for about 25 minutes at about 425 degrees and that will bring the meal up to the next level. Especially if you add some panko bread crumps on top with some shredded parmesan cheese.  Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I look forward to your comments.
