Having relocated to Hawaii from Cape Cod, MA, I have a passion for relocation clients and for helping people feel at home in Hawaii.  When I first moved here nearly 13 years ago, I felt disconnected geographically from my Mainland family.  I didn't know how I would "fit in" to my new home partly because of being in a minority here.  That was a first in my life and was a bit unsettling because it placed me outside of my comfort zone.  That opened my eyes WIDER than any other element in the transition from my New England home to this Polynesian Paradise of many ethnicities.  There are many, many cross-cultural events happening here all the time that helped me to begin feeling like I was part of something wonderful, something bigger than life and hard to describe.  We call this Ohana, the feeling of being in a much larger community of people that are not related by blood, but are related by choice.  What is not to love about that?

Certifications

I believe in continuing my real estate education constantly to keep abreast of this changing, challenging market.  There are so many courses offered for people like myself that want to stay on the cutting edge by adding new and current information to my expertise weekly, if not daily.  Because of this quest for knowledge, I have achieved the following designations:  Realtor, first and most important, which means that I have completed the education required to be a Broker here in Hawaii.  It also means that I subscribe to the Code of Ethics required to be a member of the NAR, National Association of Realtors.  My CRS designation, Certified Residential Specialist, is coveted for being the hardest to achieve. A real estate professional must achieve a high sales volume over a specified period of time, plus attain the highest scores on all course materials and tests provided to earn this designation. That said, we represent only about 3% of the agents nationwide, making this one of my highest awarded achievements.  GRI, Graduate of the Realtors Institute, which included a lengthy series of course material covering all aspects of buying and selling real property. I have earned this by exemplifying expertise in all facets of real estate ownership, both from the Sellers and the Buyers stand point.  The ABR designation, Accredited Buyer's Representative, indicates that I have completed the required course material that allows me to understand and help buyer's through this tedious mine field of purchasing a home successfully.  I especially love the enthusiasm generated by first-time home buyers!  e-PRO, Internet Professional, need I say more?  SRES, Seniors Real Estate Specialist, which assures clients that I understand what relevant information seniors need at this stage of their lives. And, believe it or not, I hold two other designations earned by learning about and then working with second home buyers, and resort area buyers and sellers.  Whew, I'm a tired lady!  Only kidding, I still have energy to spare for all of my next clients and customers.
