Get to Know Sheila Moran

I have been licensed since 1987.  I grew up in the business as my Father was a Broker for almost 40 years.  I have experienced some of the great low's as well as some booming years here in San Antonio.  I believe that there is no better "experience" than on the job training.  I can anticipate what will happen next or what the next "pitfall" might be and inform my Clients and be prepared when the moment arrives (hopefully it doesn't).  I have been a licensed Broker since 1994 and hold the following designations:  Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate Realtor Institue (GRI), Certified Home Marketing Specialist (CHMS), Performance Management Network (PMN) as well as my e-Pro.  I also have an Associates in Applied Science in Real Estate Marketing.  I believe that honesty, creativity and integrity have been some of my best tools in succeeding in Real Estate.

Personally- I have been married for 20 years to a wonderful father and man.  We have 2 beautiful (well, fabulous!) boys, Trenton (17) and Stratton (15).  We just recently moved to New Braunfels, TX from San Antonio.  Brian and I both grew up in San Antonio and were looking for a little different "feel" and wanted to be a little bit out in the country.  Our boys are growing wonderfully and have the support of two great families behind them.  I am amazed at all of the blessings that I know have come by way.  Again, my mother did always tell me, "God helps those, that help themselves"...and she was right.

I was 20 years old when I first got into the business (I was everyone secretary before) and realized that I was the one that was keeping the office together and organized and the MEN that I was working for where making all of the money and having all the fun.  Through hard work (and yes, A LOT of set backs, I learned by the school of hard knocks).  I believe that this training ground helped me focus on what needed to be done (what didn't work) and how to achieve it.

Currently, I have a full service property management side of the business.  I think that gives us a lot more experience in working with Investors, Flippers and regular Home Owners who want to make the best deal possible.  I constantly have a pulse of when the market is shifting, what areas seem to be moving sooner and what price range is slowing down.  The first 4 years in the business I worked for a company that mostly did "flipping".  We turned a great deal of houses during those years.  Some were estates, condemned by the city and some needed simple TLC.  It was a great experience of how to rework a house to make it more sell-able, what sparked buyers interest and what didn't...It was the BRAVO TV show "FLIPPING OUT" 20 years ago!  I continually use that experience when working with Sellers and Buyers talk about what projects need to be done in order to make a house more sell able.

My position affords me to help people find or sell that home and invest in their future. As Owner/Broker for my office I also am blessed to work with agents that continue to strive to be the best!
