Having only been a REALTOR since September 2008, I've gotten a lot of questions as to why a buyer or seller should choose me over the next guy. The only real response I have is this:
Although I have not been a REALTOR for a very long time, especially compared with those like my broker who has been in the business for over 30 years, I still have unique skills and talants to offer my clients. I have been a real estate "enthusiast" for the better part of 10 years now, starting in college when I decided that a career in REAL ESTATE INVESTING was the right path for me. I have learned a lot since then and have developed certain skills in my ventures as a real estate investor that a traditional REALTOR cannot provide. Creative Financing, Short Sales, IRA and Retirement Plan Investing and Wholesale transactions are just a few tricks of the investor trade that I have picked up in my journey.
As a REALTOR, I can use these special skills to help my clients gain an edge over their traditional counterparts. Knowledge is power and in dealing with complex real estate transactions, a POWERFUL REALTOR is a must.
Although I mentioned techniques above that are mostly beneficial to the real estate buyer, I am also comfortable working with sellers as well. In my investing career, it wasn't just important to know how to buy right, I absolutely MUST know how to sell. By using current market data trends and understanding the psychology of real estate, I was able to successfully sell my properties with relative ease. I did so by offering more creative solutions to buyers who would have otherwise walked away from my property due to the lack of understanding and the ability to venture outside the proverbial "box".
Now, I use these same skill-sets and apply them to the unique situations of my seller-clients to get them top dollar for their property, even in these depressed times.
