About Michael D. Fox
Michael D. Fox, J.D., Ph.D. is a real estate and business attorney, entrepreneur, consultant, and author. He is also the president of EquiPrime LLC, a member managed real estate investment company.
Dr. Fox graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he was an editor of the Wisconsin Law Review. Following law school, he served as law clerk to the Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. As an attorney, he has presented more than 50 cases before the state and federal appellate courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States.
In addition to his law degree, Dr. Fox received his bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Queens College of the City University of New York, and both a master’s degree and a doctorate from the University of California, Irvine.
He is the author of 1031 Exchanges Made Simple, a complete and practical guide to using 1031 exchanges to build wealth while legally avoiding capital gains taxes and the recapture of depreciation.
