Get to know Steve Clay

After a 37 year career as a teacher, coach, and non-profit executive, I retired as the President/CEO of the YMCA of Greater Springfield (MA) in January 2007, and my wife Mary Beth and I moved on a fulltime basis to our summer home in Falmouth, MA. Having a lifelong interest in real estate, I decided to employ the transferrable skills that I developed over 25 years as a non-profit CEO (marketing, networking, negotiation, property management and construction, financial planning, community development, and people management) as a real estate professional.

I am a strong believer in creating win-win opportunities for buyers and sellers as well as for other agents. I am always looking to expand my  referral network and invite you to contact me if you have a similar interest.

Cape Cod Condominiums, vacation homes in all price ranges, and working with first-time homebuyers are my primary areas of interest and specialization. Even though the market is slow at the present time, babyboomers nearing retirement age are looking to the Cape as a weekend retreat now and a possible retirement home in the future. Since I am one of them, I relate especially well to people in that position. The view below and the condo that goes with it are currently available. You can see this listing and every condo available on Cape Cod at my website www.steveclaycapecod.com.

As someone who has worked with young people throughout my adult life, helping young adults find the right home on terms that they can afford is especially rewarding. The buying process is totally new to most of them and can be extremely stressful, and my goal if to make it as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

In 2005, there were no homes in Falmouth under $300,000. Today there are 84. The home below is typical of the values that are available.
