This post is about where to eat in West Springfield, Virginia. Sometimes we take for granted the grocery stores, pharmacy and shops in our own neighborhood. This includes the restaurants in our immediate area. Along with the standard fast food options, there are established family restaurants that have been around for decades. COVID-19 changed the restaurant industry. Eateries had to adjust to a take-out model almost overnight. I'm happy to bring you my first video about West Springfield, Virginia. I have made West Springfield my home for 23 of the 25 years that I have lived in Northern Virginia.I first moved here in 1996, the year I got married. I lived in Dumfries, and at the time, it was a 45 minute commute to the Alexandria area if I used the Pentagon "slug lines" to pick up passengers.When I changed jobs and had to commute to Tyson's Corner, my commute doubled, and if it rained, my commute sometimes took longer than two hours.That's when we decided to make the move north.
