I decided this week to take some considerable time to determine what the difference in Prairie Village homes sold volume is from this time last year to October 15, 2008.  I was not surprised to learn that the greatest difference in sold volume was in the $100k to $250k list price range as this price range reflects a significant number of homes found in Prairie Village that fall within this fair market value range.  I wanted to start with total volume sold in an attempt to then move forward with determining what the market trends of this sold volume mean to me and my clients in Prairie Village. Because of the news about the tightening of credit, I think that there are a lot of folks who are interested in buying a home, but automatically assume that they will not be able to get a mortgage.  This is not necessarily true.
