When people come to Delray Beach their destination is usually Downtown Delray Beach, also known as "The Avenue". When you are on the Avenue you will find several nice bars, clubs, and some outstanding restaurants.  One of my favorites is without a doubt, Taverna Eros.  Taverna Eros is a combination Greek Restaurant and Bar. Their dinner menu is excellent and the prices are very reasonable.  I had never eaten at a Greek restaurant before, so I figured it was time to give it a try.  My friends and I arrived around 8pm and fortunately were able to get a table.   I had no idea what to order, but fortunately Kurt Lehmann, the restaurant manager, came to our table and recommended an appetizer and entree for me.  After eating this delicious dinner, I have to recommend it to anyone that goes to...

We all know that foreclosures are on the rise and several lenders have gone out of business.  This sounds bad for the real estate industry, but as the old saying goes....when you're given a lemon make lemonade. Every so often you come across a gem of a community that not everyone knows about.  Delray Beach has several, but one in particular is Kokomo Key Townhomes.  Kokomo Key is a gated, intracoastal community.  The community is always in pristine condition, HOA fees are currently only $220/mth, and include building insurance, basic cable, exterior maintenance, and trash removal.  The community is made up of 2 and 3 bedroom units.  There is no age restriction and for all you dog lovers...all size dogs are allowed.  There is a lovely pool area, a waterfront gazebo, and boardwalk. I was watching Larry king live last Thursday, he had a discussion panel about the current Real Estate market, and the economy. Delray Beach Planning & Zoning board will consider a new solution for parking issues downtown - stacking cars!   Yes, stack them. Lift them into the air; like the car lifts in auto shops. Apparently this is common in other cities. Note:  This is a sample photo I found when looking into this as I have never seen a stacking car lift. The ones developers are proposing actually stack 4-5 cars!  Supposedly this is small compard to those commonly used in bigger cities.
