Watching tv I saw an ad for this site. The tips were so great I want to share it with everyone. http://www.wateruseitwisely.com/   Compost garbage?? or use garbage disposal wisely Wash your dog outside and rinse right on the grass. Put stopper in tub when you start to fill it. Bathe your kids together. (we use the water after they get out..for our little inside dogs) Turn off shower when you lather your hair to shampoo (I thought of this on my own inc shaving legs-ok more than you wanted to know) Turn off water when you are lathering your hands. After all you only need it to wet them and rinse them. Turn off water during the 2 minute (dentist suggested) toothbrushing time. Throw kleenex into trash can not toilet ( this is really a no brainer) I know one hard core ocean-caring-wonderful ...

Inman news had an Active Rain blog link with so many great comments on this google wave. I want one!   Years ago I did what I was told. I  bought my domains like a very good realtor and took the things I owned LynnePope.com. Then thought...why did I do that...who am I lynne@lynnepope.com? I had some different email providers and when I got smarter I got my very own gmail account. I actually fell in love with its ease.  My Yahoo husband never got any of my emails although I was in the very next room. Technology brings us nearer those in India, the Far East and Farther but even farther than our next of kin with some other place to hang their email. I think its cool that its got a ymail name now...so clever. Wonder how they ever thought that one up?   Then the discoveries on google. Chrome...

Located near the Redondo Beach pier and a short walk to both King Harbor and the beaches of Redondo, these upscale condominiums offer a resort feel, fantastic views of the Pacific Ocean, Catalina, and the beaches. This is South Bay living at its finest. The Village in Redondo Beach lies along North Catalina Avenue in South Redondo Beach, between Garnet and Beryl, overlooking the famous Redondo Horseshoe Pier. The project consists of large condominium structures and apartment units.   Seascape I was built in 1978 and consists of 119 units total. The Mortgage Insurance Companies (MI) are changing the Game for the Consumer and Real Estate Professionals again.  This time they are changing their policies on Sellers, whom are Flipping Properties.  Currently, Fannie Mae doesn't have any Seasoning Policy (Length of time the Seller has been on Title); but now, the MI Companies are going to require Seasoning by the Seller.    It will breakdown like this:  1.)  They won't insure any property seasoned within 3 months (0-90 days); and 2.) They will require Full Documentation by the Seller to justify any increase of the price from what the Seller paid when it's being listed for sale within the first 6 months (180 days).   Most likely, the Seller will need to provide receipts and explanations for any upgrades done to a property they are tryi...

There are endless reasons that the South Bay and Redondo Beach are great places to live, and without question the proximity to the ocean is one of them.  Redondo Beach offers a wider variety of options than neighboring Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach as it's zoned to allow higher density housing in some areas.....meaning larger condo complexes.  Some of the most ideal complexes are located in South Redondo Beach just off of Catalina and are known as The Village or Seascapes I, II and III.  All of the Seascape Buildings are also known as the Village (they're actually all on Catalina but the addresses are on The Village) All of the complexes have Homeowners Associations with relatively high HOA dues to cover the various landscaping, pools and some insurance, but if you're looking for an...

the treo is dying..in my very hands. Palms... My husband and sons are on i-phone. The realtors I know are on treo or blackberries. I just read Jeff Turner on reading books in the kindle app on his iphone. I think I am convinced.   Help me active rainers....I am so scared to learn a new phone. To leave sprint for ATT what a monopoly. I would have to say that sprint gets me reception in Palos Verdes where many phones don't work at all.  ( Agents should disclose it now if they are smart) Or the drops that I already know of right on Knob Hill in Redondo Beach. I know how to pace those calls. I want to read I want a kindle what if I got it all in one place. what if I could get a phone that actually showed me the mls instead of this one?? What if it had email that I could find and a GPS..the ...

I finally joined. I got the new package which includes the online e-tools. www.weightwatchers.com This online activity is helping me figure out the simple value of foods. Im a typical Realtor, running around on empty, stop for an icy coke since I am starving and thirsty. When I started going I learned I am a salt craver even more than sugar. The whole room was the salt or the sugar. I learned simple things like the whole fruit is the filling food we can use before going out to dinner to curb eating all the bread on the table before the meal. I learned to get back on when I fall off. Most of all I have found out how to eat foods with value to my feeling really full and that starving diets only work when I am starving. I offer this not as anyone connected to weightwathers. The little simp...

Seldom does an article offer real hard concrete advise. Seldom is it original. If I ever recommended one to read this is it. This is the pearl inside the shell for recovery. Read this and share it, if you feel its as great as I think it is. How do we get this to be what people talk about instead of doom gloom doom.. http://rismedia.com/2009-09-21/jumpstarting-job-creation-let-housing-lead-the-way/ Back when...all this started. The sales just...stopped. It took time for people and the press to start to comment. Realtors were like sailboats on an ocean without wind. We just suddenly sat there. Some of us had just bought or sold property and were caught unprepared out on the ocean. We have been paddling in ever since. Many of us are using our savings to stay afloat. Many went to other ind...

Here in the Hollywood Riviera there are two addresses - although in the end it's all the same address.  What does that confusing statement mean?  Well, half the Riviera has a Redondo Beach address (a P.O. Box address only though) Then entire Hollywood Riviera is located in the City of Torrance (90505).  There is a perception that is backed by numbers that show it's more desirable, thus more expensive typically to live on the Redondo Beach side of the Riviera.  Take for example the following averages: Currently there are 14 houses for sale on the Torrance side of the Hollywood Riviera (90505) The average dollar per square foot of these is $537.The average price of those houses is $1,005,850.The least expensive is $560K and the most expensive is $1,795K. Currently there are 18 houses for ...

I showed Darryl Rosen's fabulous listing on Spreckels the other night to my client. I was blown away buy the property. It was not your normal Golden Hills home. The home is located just a street in from Hermosa Beach. You walk up a flight of stairs to enter this home. It is all one level with a fabulous zen like garden in the back. Unlike most "tall and skinny's" in Golden Hills this home sits atop the garage allowing for the ultimate privacy and brightness. The garage is a decent size with a door leading into a large under the home storage area which the owner informed me they used at one time for a wine cellar. What a gorgeous home this one is!! The owners did a remarkable job decorating which makes this home a delight to show. I have posted pics below. I am sure this home won't last ...

I often wonder when a buyer asks me what "I would buy" if given the existing inventory.  I love this question and when we (my partner/sister and I) go out to broker's opens to preview new inventory...we always play this game.  What was the best deal today?  Best house for the least amount of money in other words.  When we go to broker's opens we can see many homes in several price ranges of course.  But it usually works out that one or two stand out on their own regardless of the other price ranges (meaning compared to that $2 million dollar house how was the $900K house?)  "Which house holds the most potential?" is usually one of the questions that runs through my  mind when thinking this way.  "Potential" - what is does that mean?  Lots of things go into the potential-bag.  Location i...
