Some homes just reach out and embrace you with all the warmth and love in their four walls. This is one of those homes! You will start to smile when you walk up the front steps to the big porch and imagine sitting there in a big swing, sipping lemonade and listening to the birds chirping in the trees. Maybe you aren't a front porch swing type of person. Maybe you like sitting on your rear deck overlooking the flat back yard where your friends are throwing a frisbee to one another while they are waiting for the steaks to finish grilling! Watch out that they don't trample your tomato plants and herbs in your new garden! Enough with the outside - step instide to the sunny first floor with the open design and chef's kitchen! Completely updated in 2019 from top to bottom, this house is fille...

Wordless Wednesday…An Unexpected Delight Larry and I love our walks. Besides being a great way to get some exercise in and to have daily social interaction, it’s also fun exploring the animal life around us. We’ve seen snakes, birds, armadillos, rabbits, raccoons, and coyotes but never a bear! Coming upon these unexpected treasures, always brightens our day.  Be open to the unexpected.  Keep your eyes and ears alert to what may pop up next. Make sure that your heart is prepared to always enjoy the moment.  Be patient. The best things happen unexpectedly. Unknown The marvels of daily life are exciting; no movie director can arrange the unexpected that you find in the street. Robert Doisneau

There’s no denying mortgage rates are higher now than last year. And if you’re considering buying a home, this may be top of mind. That’s because those higher rates impact how much it costs to borrow money for your home loan. As you set out to make a purchase this winter, you’ll need to be strategic to find a home that meets your needs and budget. Danielle Hale, Chief Economist at, explains: “The key to making a good decision in this challenging housing market is to be laser focused on what you need now and in the years ahead, . . . Another key point is to avoid stretching your budget, as tempting as it may be given the diminished purchasing power.” In other words, it’s essential to be mindful of what’s necessary and a nice-to-have when searching for a home. And the best way...

In 1975, a Spanish Rancho was established in the region that had previously been home to a Chumash Native American town. In the years that followed, it became an important distribution center for those in the nearby agricultural region. So, it is a place where people from many different cultures live. It now has the attractiveness of a picturesque hamlet adjacent to the top tourist destinations in Southern California. It is also a bustling neighborhood home to numerous historical attractions and tranquil rolling hills.  (Especially if You Need a Pro) Finalize plans for any landscaping, decks, patios, or other outdoor projects that need warm weather. Two good reasons: Image: Photo by ADZA       1. If you're DIYing, you'll be ready to roll at the first hint of nice weather. That way, you'll be less affected by any supply chain shortages and have your improved yard ready to enjoy by summer. 2. If you're hiring a contractor or other professional, getting your bids and contracts in place now will save you from competing with the spring rush (wait too long, and you may not be able to book anyone!). "Bottom Line "There Is A Realtor For That" If you’re ready to buy or sell a home Charles Stallions with over 27 years of experience will give you expert advice on your situation.
