Greetings from Tallahassee, the capital city of Florida.

We eat inside restaurants.  The gyms are open.  I have a haircut appointment next week.  The bars are still closed; so you see "house parties" form at 5:00PM with 6 or 8 cars parked in front of some of our neighbors' houses.  It's good to hear laughter and soft music and people socializing.

We don't wear masks anymore (except Costco, and we only go there once every other week).  The beaches are open, the state parks are open.  My church is open (we never closed).  The big churches are slowly re-opening.

I have a Closing this afternoon.  No masks required (they have hand sanitizer and masks on the front desk, for those who want them).  We will shake hands and have a normal closing.  At least one title company here is not allowing normal closings; they make the Realtors sit in their cars with the cell phone on.  A KW agent told me the other day, "They made me sit in my car for one hour.  Couldn't even come inside to use the restroom.  I will never do business there again".

Florida is open for business, but air travel is still down 90%.  I am renting a car this month; prices are 1/2 of what they used to be.

Finally, our Governor has offered to host both the RNC and DNC National Conventions.

I disagree, in San Diego it never got incredibly strict and Protocols have systematically been loosening over the last four weeks.
But then again San Diego is one of the healthier cities to go through the coronavirus so we never had that many cases comparatively. I'm sure local governments handled it differently everywhere across the state as well as across the country, so the only real perspective one could have is from where they live. Good luck and good health. 😷

The great state of Arizona is for the most part back to work, soon back to school and our sheriffs are not enforcing any Draconian lockdown restrictions. Our governor is walking a lot of stuff back. Interestingly, businesses are opening up calling their workers back, some of them don't want to come back because they got that additional UI. I'm not sure what they'll do when it runs out and their jobs have been replaced.

Not really. Still restrictive but many are ignoring too. Some businesses are reopening. The thing that hasn't stopped and is getting worse are the Social Media hate spewers.

Open for business in Florida.

When restrictions were lifted reported new cases was 390 a day. This morning the new cases reported was 509.

What's wrong with this picture?

What do I do?  I run every other day. Walkers are social distancing and making my passage impossible without encroachment.  Sunday's run onto the Dunedin Causeway encountered about 50 people displaced from the Philippine Culture Center. They were grilling up island food that smelled incredible and all I could hear for 600 yards was Islander music.

Clearly, in Florida, folks are going to live their lives and damn the consequences.

Here in NH things are good. our rate is on a sharp decline. On 31 positive and sadly 4 deaths. All in nursing homes that were ravaged. Over 90% of deaths 60 plus with 78% over 80. Businesses are open with restrictions. More open June 1.

Sort of, although starting this Friday, VA governor issued order that wearing masks in public businesses is mandatory. Many will still refuse to wear them.

Utah is open! Small businesses are ready to take on the masses again. Of course, our recreational areas are being overrun by people from Nevada and California. They have had to shut them down in many cases and turn people away due to the influx.

We are still in shutdown mode but you can see that people are getting sick of it. More cars on the road, etc. Stores are still keeping their policy of face coverings everywhere.

It is supposed to be on the 30th but who knows.  Our governor is an asshat.

In time people will see for themselves (called-hindsight) how ridiculous this all was and the part they played and the part they didn't play. I see it now. The lack of common sense is more frightening than the virus. More scarier than that? The way people turn their lives over to others so willingly.

Businesses are opening up here in the San Diego area, including restaurants, in-store retail, among others. Parks and beaches have been open for a couple of weeks now. We are in Stage 2 moving toward Stage 3 - hair salons can now open but not gyms...yet.

Joe,

We are in Santa Barbara County, and restaurants are opening with guidelines. I am glad that our Mayor in Santa Barbara is making our downtown street a walking area...

Personally, I am tired of the attention that everyone has on this word and all the suppositions and scenarios.  We are focusing on creating more business and staying up beat and in the moment.  A

Here in NY, things are starting to loosen but just barely. They reopened the Stock Exchange, but only 25% capacity.  Vets can open for more regular stuff (in particular to take care of rabies vaccines) and outdoor construction, I believe.

Things pretty much feel the same here as it's not terribly safe here. But, we did "celebrate" having 2 days w/ under 100 deaths.

Upstate, things are more normal, but 90% of the people are prob in Metro NYC area.

And, we need to wear masks if we go outside (or in hallways/elevators).

I have heard that the restrictions in California are quite ridiculous.  I told someone that I was planning a trip to the beach and she told me that I shouldn't go to California, there wouldn't be anything open and nothing to do.  She said there is talk that the restrictions will not let up until next year, that is crazy if true.  Things seem to be opening up more and more in Arizona from what I can see.

Mostly shut down.  Restaurants with patios are starting to open.

However, in a bizarre move, our Governor is making masks mandatory after being caught over the weekend without one.  Mind you, he is a physician and probably knows they are crap.  But hey, what's another over reaction at this point?
