Absolutely not. This is a liability issue. I do recommend several vendors to clients but it is their choice in case someething goes wrong.

I do not have that on a website. There is no reason to share valuable contacts with anybody and everybody.

I have my own local vendors page made up of 14 years worth of relationships built three transactions and networking in San Diego and I continue to add people to it: but these are my peeps I control it and only the people that earn a spot get to go in. Earning it simply means you take very good care of my clients.

No, I don't think publishing a list is beneficial at all. I agree with Fred Griffin , Debe Maxwell, CRS , Hella M. Rothwell, Broker/Realtor® , Joe Pryor  .  It's not possible to recommend anyone on a long list. I do have a concierge list. When clients call, it's a one-on-one recommendation as a touch point. And the recipient of the recommendation gets a personal contact from me.

I used to, but didn't find that people really used it. Anyone who knew me and wanted recommendations would just call or email me. And like Debe Maxwell, CRS I prefer to have them reach out directly for the opportunity of an additional touch.

No. I use to but it was rarely used as most buyers already know someone they plan to call. I quit giving recommendations, now I only give suggestions when asked.

When my community website was alive and well there was a vendor resources page. The PURPOSE of the page was to drive subscribers. And it worked! Those vendors shown ALL provided these subscribers extra value.

They all offered to pay me, but the disclosure issue become too burdensome.

There are many services now doing the same thing including local HOAs.

Now I support an anonymized 'bartering' page. The PURPOSE is the snag IPs for pre-defined activity. Obviously one must subcribe and reveal much about themselves.

The laborious community and area calendar of events remains the all time traffic magnet.

I used to have one on my mortgage website. I think people saw it as a valuable resource. I am not sure where there is any additional liability as opposed to making a recommending via phone. To me it's a time saver and makes you appear to be a trusted local resource.

I used to do this, but found other REALTORS were using my page.  Now I prefer to have my clients call me directly.

I do provide clients or anyone who asks with names of those I had a positive experience with, but again only upon request.

I don't have one yet, but I am working on it. What I have been doing is keep the information of the people I have done work. Of course, they are responsible and professional, and I call the one that I have not I call them and ask about their services. I also check their Yelp ratings.

Yes and No. 

Yes - I have a neighborhood resources page, but it has contact info for the schools, utility providers, parks, hospitals, cops, top employers, etc. on it.

No - I do not list tradespeople.  I prefer to do that as a point in time recommendation, since my list of who I like is ever changing.

I do not have one. I like the idea of the potential traffic it could attract, but also see what others say about the liability of the listings. I would prefer to be able to speak directly with clients, so I could be aware of their future plans and to catch up with them about their life and family.
