There are some companies that do this out here "24k Green" is one.  I laughed when I first saw this.  It's supposed to be bio friendly, so grass could grow back.

I'll still put down seed or sod.  Dead grass breaks off, live grass looks nicer.

I've never done or suggested to do so. I'd rather suggest sustainable solutions that will last and look good. 

No,  Just green with envy when mine is brwn and theirs is green, withut paint.  

No, and I wouldn't do it. My guess is it's biodegradable and would not interfere with a new lawn growing back.

I personally never done it or have recommended. It was a big thing in Central California during the recession and recently drought.

No, I don't paint other people's anything, heck, I don't even do my own.

I have never seen this and if it happened in my area if would look instantly fake. That would not have the appeal the seller or agent intended.

I have heard of this, but it doesn't happen in my area. 

We are fortunate here to NOT have a water shortage.  Not an issue here in the Wenatchee area.  I get unlimited irrigation water for $90 per year.

Going to see one of my friends in San Diego I see green lawns that are painted.  Not sure if I would ever do it.

I heard about that happening in California.... not here in New England....

I saw it done on TV & thought it was hokey. It looked ok but don't know enough about it to really give any advice.

I think it's the same stuff they spray christmas trees with.

This would require in-depth research on the lawn growing back AND the impact on the environment.  

Never heard of such a "trick."  Of course a water shortage has never been my experience except when I lived on an island in the western Pacific!

If it is a low to medium priced home, there are many cheap remedies to present them by this be one of them. It comes across as a trick of some sort.

Fortunately I haven't had to do this with any of my listings in the past, but I have seen it done very successfully when I sold property in Palm Springs and San Diego.

Never. IMHO; this is misleading of the true condition of an attribute of the home.

I have heard of it, never seen but may need it. We in NH are experiencing drough which is rare for us. Most often the ocean provides ample storms to keep things normal. We have an extreme drought with water bans in most towns now.

I have not painted a lawn - I think they do grow back - I remember someone painting zoyzia grass but I would think with water at a premium if you are having a dry period buyers would understand.

I have not.  The suggestion offered by Inna Ivchenko seems to be good.
