Ed, please let me know if you have any questions after reading my email.  Do some google research as well for green businesses to visit and learn from their products and services in your area.  Home Shows are a great place to search as well.   Best to know the products and how they work and offer suggestions to anyone with indoor air quality issues, health issues, and allergies.  You'll run into that a lot in the world of green!  Good luck keep me posted!

I'm aware of it, but in my part of So Cal it's a useless cert.  Only one area out here would care about that stuff and even they don't.

The green thing was a phase we all suffered through about 8 years ago and it fizzled out like the pet rock and slap bracelets in under a year.  NAR is a decade late on this trend (as with many things).

I am an Ecobroker, which may be similar (not familiar with NAR Green details, although I've heard of it). The certification process was pretty rigorous, great education.

It's not a designation I hold or have seriously researched. Not much call in my market for green homes as yet. I would suppose the questions you are asking would be answered in the designation course.

Ed, from what I'm seeing, Green is not limited to any particular demographic.  All of the old hippies who sold out and now have money are a huge part of the market.  And you really can't generalize.
