It depends on what kind of information you are looking for. If it is about what unlicensed assistants can and can not do, you can get that info from the real estate commission here in Florida: https://www.flrules.org/gateway/Division.asp?DivID=283

It depends upon what you want to know, what the assistants will be doing, the nature of your relationship with the assistants, laws applicable to the situation and many other factors.

I hired someone who specialized in advertising and recruiting an assistant. She narrow it down to 3..I interview all three of them 7 years ago and love my right arm. Money well spent for a professional to do what she does best..hiring!

I'd say your state association's rules & regs on what unlicensed assistants can and can't do.

If you mean what assistants are permitted or not permitted to do in a brokerage, that should be right in your state regs. That will also depend on whether they are licensed or not.

Looks like you got some good answers below, depending on what you specifically need to know. There may also be employments laws to know about in your state regarding hourly vs. salaried employees, worker's comp, etc.

There are some good books out there on hiring and working with an assistant, but every broker and every state will have a few rules to be aware of as well, check with yours.

Get a copy of your state regualtions of what an unlicensed assistant can and cannot do. Next determine what your needs for an assistant are and if your requirements and the rules are compatible.

Might try you tube!

I agree with Peter Mohylsky and Richard Weeks . I know in ND it's pretty limited as to what an unlicensed assistant can do.
