Tony and Suzanne - Fortunately my wife has good insurance to cover the entire family.
Yup! And the cost is RIDICULOUS!!!!!!
The government provides various medical insurance. For the remainder, I either self-insure or have additional insurance, depending on the particular risk item.
Tony and Suzanne Marriott, Associate Brokers - yes, this is one thing where we have to be on our own.
My friend is an agent for this - and usually, he gets me the best option.
We were forced to use bcbs 30 years ago and would not recommend them to our worst enemy.
yes I have insurance coverage
We were covered before the Federal Government of Washington (financed by Big Insurance) imposed their massive tax increase on the American People.
Yes we do..always carry it with me.
Yes, always. You have to have it. I received a card in the mail, which I am supposed to file with tax returns, that requires me to sign and note the health insurance plan I have in place! It states if no insurance in place a fine of "x" will be added to return. Ridiculous!
Yes, bought directly too.
It's Medicare for me.
Yes, but not happy w/ them as they did not approve the main med I'm on, so now I have a substitute.
Tony and Suzanne Marriott, Associate Brokers We fortunately also have BC/BS.
Yes and I use an agent...If I have an issue I want to be able to go in and set at a desk until I get some answers and not on hold fo eternity where they ignore you for hours
Maybe I'm lucky to be on Medicare and have a BCBS supplemental..
Oh my goodness it has become so complicated. I have been buying my own health insurance the past 10 years. I tried to go around the marketplace or exchange but ended up buying thru it. Only to find out no doctors in Tucson would take the plan. The plan I had last year, was "too good" and no longer being offered PLUS many doctors would take it either. I ended up getting Blue Cross Blue Shield as well, it was not the best priced but at least caregivers would accept it. Next year, I am going thru a broker. I found out afterwards, even doctors now recommend going thru a broker as it has become that complicated.
It is not affortable by any means Tony and Suzanne Marriott, Associate Brokers
We're a 1.5 team - one of us works full time and purchases insurance for the both of us (BCBS) through them.
I always had blue cross blue shield and paid $1,700/month just for me.... at 65 it was medicare....I love medicare!!! and my supplemental for the 20% medicare doesn't pay is Blue Cross Blue Shield.... also have Medex for any medication needed...I don't need any!!
We had to have ours in place by mid December for the upcoming year.
