My investment comes back in the happy faces I see when I am able to give to family and friends. I was blessed to have another good garden this year.

Good morning William. It almost doesn't matter about the return of investment, but just being home grow adds a lot of satisfaction.

Not on a monetary basis since I am not selling the garden.  However, there is much joy in watching it grow and blossom over the spring, summer and fall.

Not quite. I had to spend some extra money on weed barrier. It was worth it, though. This stuff will last for many years. 

No, I didn't.  But I had to buy some soil and pots this year.  But I enjoyed every single bite

Only flowers growing at our place.  We are enjoying the neighbors harvest.

We share our garden with multiple deer most years, so it's hit or miss. I think the deer get the best deal.

Been there done that.  I don't have the time any more to plant.

Ah; fresh tomatoes, lettuce, swiss chard, spinach, beets, carrots and in the spring parsnips. From the repeating crops all the fresh herbs, blueberries and soon apples.

So a definite yes.

I get it back in the joy of tending it mostly. We had a rough season but I still like the whole farmer deal.

Depends on how you define investment and return.

I only planted flowers this year. Enjoyment is the only return on the investment. We have some very pretty dahlias that are currently blooming.

my daughter does that at her house...I take advantage of it!!!! she shares....

William... sorry to say, I've never planted anything! So no worries about that investment on my part!

It has been a tough year in NH, a very late spring and then a much dryer summer than normal. Unless you plant for profit, the return of fresh vegetables with no pesticides is worth every back breaking pull of a weed.

But I did spread some wild flower seeds a few years ago. The result has been a plot of giant and ordinary marigolds. With just a little attention, they keep giving and giving that corner a persistant presence of gold. Yes, I beleive my investment has been returned in multiples.

Yes - although my tomatoes are a little thick skinned LOL
