A great Realtor® really knows the area he serves. Because I have lived and worked in the DC area since the early 1970s, I have in-depth experience and knowledge of this area that few others share and can provide all the important details that come with buying a home: what the area schools are like, how public transportation works, and why homes are priced differently in different suburbs to name a few.
I'm licensed in DC, Maryland and Virginia, serving both buyers and sellers in the Bethesda/Chevy Chase area, including Silver Spring, Upper Northwest, and Rock Creek Forest.
Today, the area of Bethesda offers residents a great place to call home. This thriving urban area has retained its old-fashioned charm offering tree-lined streets, large maple trees, lots of green space, and an ever changing array of flowers and beautiful landscaping. In April 2009, Forbes ranked Bethesda second on its list of "America's Most Livable Cities". Adding to the area's growing list of awards and achievements, Bethesda public schools were named among the best in the country in a recent Newsweek Magazine article.
The town of Bethesda is also home to a variety of prestigious institutions and notable attractions, including the National Institution of Health, the Naval Surface Warfare Center, and the Bethesda Naval Hospital. Bethesda is also headquarters to a number of large corporations, including defense giant Lockheed Martin and Marriott International along with other well known companies who contribute to the growing job sector. The Metro Red Line allows access to the county and into both DC and VA and complements a public bus system making the parks, walking trails, and sport complexes all within easy access for those who enjoy an active lifestyle.Chevy Chase is a beautiful, tranquil suburb retreat conveniently accessible to its bustling big city neighbor, Washington DC. Retaining its original style, character and name, the community of Chevy Chase is now all of the following: a zip code that encompasses a town, a CDP (an unincorporated Census Designated Place), several villages and sections within Montgomery County, Maryland. Because this community straddles the DC line, it is also the name of the very northwest corner of Washington DC (Chevy Chase DC). There are 3 metro stations along the red line that service the largely residential Chevy Chase region making commuting to the DC job market a fairly easy daily experience. Attractions in the Chevy Chase area include Columbia County Club, an old fashioned, yet still challenging golf course. The area is also home to the Audubon Naturalist Society/Woodend. Here one can tour the Georgian mansion and explore the 40 acres of wooded sanctuary area and enjoy the many local activities and events sponsored here.
