I love living on the Virginia Peninsula, especially Williamsburg, where I've been a resident since 1986 and spent most of my career.  This is a beautiful, diverse area, where you can find just about anything ~ great shopping; lots of water to play in (my husband , Joe and I love to kayak); incredible cultural activities such as concerts, museums, art galleries; and pristine rural areas with parks that have plenty of space.  Space is important when we want to get away for a long bike ride or a place to run wild with our golden retrievers ~ Calle and Libby.  I can't imagine living in another place that provides so many possibilities in one area!

I'm also a very proud military wife.  Joe and I met locally and have been married for 15 years.  Being part of the military community truly helps me to understand the challenges of military life and the sacrifices military families make for their country.

I'm athletic and in my younger years enjoyed playing competitive volleyball and running.  Now that my knees are not what they used to be, I concentrate on activities like aerobics, kayaking, bike riding and dog walking.
