FRANKLIN PARK, A WONDERFUL PUBLIC PARK IN PURCELLVILLE VIRGINIA OFFERS MUCH FOR LOCAL RESIDENTS.  I have house guests for several more weeks waiting for their home to be completed (see below).  Since the family has an 11 year old daughter and a 2 year old son, finding interesting activities is always a challenge.  HEY, LET'S GO FISHING!  First, let Lenn determine that there are fish in the pond.  Nothing is more disappointing to a child than to go fishing and not catch anything.  So, to verify the presence of fish in Franklin Park Lake, I took my favorite fishing rod to the lake yesterday afternoon and . . . . Oh Boy!!  The first catch was just about 6 feet off shore.  The second fish was about 15 feet off shore.   Slightly larger.  Let's go a bit farther out and see what's out there . ... 08/11/2008
