My real estate farming neighborhoods, Taylor Lake Village, El Lago and Seabrook, Texas are so great!   One neighborhood in particular always remind me of those neighborhoods that you see on television.  You know the ones...the Wisteria Lane-ish/Home Alone-ish type of neighborhood with families and kids and tons of outdoor activities happening on any given evening?But I think the most amazing neighborhood event yet, will be taking place on Christmas Eve.  On Christmas Eve, all of the neighbors are asked to join in a 48 year tradition dubbed The Luminaries in Clear Lake.  This tradition started back in 1968 during the Apollo 8 mission, when astronauts, Frank Borman, James Lovell, Jr. ad William Anders, were on a mission to space. The story goes that during that mission, the astronauts had... 12/13/2016

My family and I recently relocated to the Houston area; and the home we purchased was nothing like what we set out to purchase.  It was neither my husband's nor my style, BUT...it had everything that the entire family wanted,  including resort style outdoor living and a great pool.... with a 1970's slide!!My sons were super excited to spend the end of Summer sliding down the side into the deep end of the pool, so once we moved in, they got it all cleaned up and somehow managed to attach the garden hose to the side in place of the hoses that were not properly working.  They slid down that slide any way you could imagine, and at times I would have to tell them to "slow down or to be careful."So we were surprised when our local agent informed us that our homeowners insurance rate is probab... 11/18/2016

My family and I recently moved to the Houston, Texas area and we are starting to get adjusted.  I grew up as a City Girl (Dallas, Texas), spent the last thirteen years as a Country Girl (Kaufman, Texas) and now it seems that I am a now a Seaside Girl (Seabrook, Texas).  We've been here approximately a month now and I have really begun to love this little seaside town.  As you can imagine coming from the country - where it took me at least twenty minutes to get to the nearest grocery store, school or restaurant, the convenience of everything is quite refreshing.  I've gone to three different grocery stores and have loved them all for one reason or another.  It's little things such as this that seem to make our move worth the while.  Another huge plus is that now I am minutes from the sec... 10/23/2016
