For the past 2 years, I've been volunteering for the Special Olympic Oregon State Games and I have to say last year was so rewarding, that I've signed up again this year. Now, I know they don't need any more volunteers this year, but they still do need people to cheer them on! I promise no matter who you cheer for, you will see the biggest smiles you have ever seen in your life. Each contestant is a winner in my book! If I could give them all GOLD medals, I would, but like all sports, there has to be a winner and a loser, but I know each of these athletes have trained all year for these games and it shows!     A Beautiful Sunday at the Allison Inn & Spa and a visit to the Wine Country for our Wedding Anniversary Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012 was such a beautiful day and my husband and I went to the Allison Inn & Spa Resort to begin a celebration of our wedding anniversary.  The Allison, Oregon Wine Country's Premier Destination Resort, was our first stop for one of the best breakfasts I have had in a very long time.  We went early so we could just have breakfast and not Easter Brunch, we were not disappointed. The Homebuyers Tax Credit has been extended into the first half of 2010...and it has been expanded to include benefits for current homeowners! Who Qualifies? More Newberg Homebuyers Qualify for Homebuyer Tax Credit President Obama has just signed an expanded version of the $8,000 first time home buyer tax credit that was set to expire on November 30. This will allow more Newberghomebuyers, both first time homebuyers and move up homebuyers, to qualify for the tax credit. The new version of the tax credit has the potential to stimulate the housing market even more than the old version due to the fact that more Oregonians will qualify under the new rules. Influenza has been reported in Newberg schools. It is not known whether or not this is H1N1 influenza because doctors and emergency rooms are not testing for H1N1 flu.   Anyone with influenza needs to remain at home. Influenza is a viral illness characterized by a fever above 100o, a cough, sore throat, body aches chills nausea and fatigue. H1N1 flu symptoms are similar to the symptoms of seasonal flu. If students become sick with respiratory symptoms and a fever at school, the school office will notify parents or guardians to pick up their student and take them home or to a health-care provider. Yamhill County Public will conduct H1N1 influenza vaccination clinics at district schools in early November. Children from 6 months to 24 years of age are considered at risk for the H1N1 virus and are part of the target group to receive the vaccine soon after it becomes available. Children will not be not be vaccinated without signed parental consent. Parents can expect to receive information from the Public Health Department including a consent forms within the next week. Do you ever have weeks like this?  The listing says "RMLS lock box, Vacant 24 hours."  I arrive at the house only to find a combination lock on the front door.  I call the listing agent, she doesn't answer her phone.  I leave a message.  I call the main office, and leave a message there as well.  The listing agent finally calls me back.... the next day.  Says she didn't realize she didn't put an RMLS lock box on the house.  She gives me the combination.   I make a second appointment with my clients and show back up at the home at the appointed time.  The combination doesn't work.  Good thing I have understanding clients but this is really frustrating me.  I call the agent back and guess what, she doesn't answer her phone AGAIN!  I leave another message but I need to go to my next appoin... 09/17/2009
