When you list a property and hope for multiple offers, a couple of things can happen: 1.  You can receive one offer at full price 2.  You can receive multiple offers 3.  You can wait and wait and wait. Here's an example:  A young couple decided to sell their home and due to the market expected to receive multiple offers.  On the first day on the market, the received an offer for the full price, no financing clause, just inspection.  Well, they felt that if they got an offer on the first day there must be more coming. There were showings back to back and on some days showings were overlapping.  But no other offers came in, the property sat on the market for several weeks and finally, the price was reduced and an offer was received.  Conclusion:  They made less money because they waited. ... 05/11/2010

It was really interesting to visit the new retirement condominium complex located at the corner of Tenth Line Road and Rossignol (off North Service Road).  The first phase is a rental retirement building with tonnes of amenities right in the building.  The building is well laid out, the units are really interesting and the finishing touches are awesome.  You will find granite kitchen and bathroom counter tops, hardwood flooing, great viev in the units.  Ample parking for visitors, a really lovely dining room, sitting area, games room to name a few. A new Health Hub is coming to Orleans and it will assist the growing population and especially the east-enders.  Young families and seniors will benefit and will be giving front-line services asuch as day surgery, kidney dialysis, cancer treatment, urgent care services, geriatrics, mental and family health services.  The health hub is designed to save money and ease the pressure on hospitals which are over-burdened trying to provide services of a non-critical nature.  This new health hub will be located on Mer Bleue Road south of Innes Road and near the new Blackburn ByPass.  The complex is likely to spur additional development in the area.  Plans to widen Mer Bleue Road from a 2 to a 4 lane have already been approved.
