Cary is the new in place for movies and dinner.  First there is the CineBistro in Waverly place.  Soon on the western side of town is CineBowl & Grill which features bowling lanes and disco lights. We are talking luxury seating, dining and of course state-of-the-art sound systems.  CineBistro will have 6 screens, 3 of which are 3D.  This is a restaurant that happens to show films and is more geared toward adults.  If you are under 21 you can only go to the movies before 6 pm as a wide selection of different alcohols are served. The CineBowl & Grill caters more to the little ones with 16 bowling lanes and an arcade. Sounds like a lot of fun and it is new with all the new gadgets and we seem to like new.  The industry is trying to get people back into theaters and something a little differ...

Proposed cuts in the North Carolina state budget for school class sizes has Cary school officials worried.  The idea sounds great on paper.  Adding 2,000 teachers state wide would reduce the class size by one student.  That doesn't sound like much but for Wake County that means an additional 145 class room spaces or four schools at $23 million apiece.  That is a lot of new schools.  Of course that really isn't how life works but there would be some new schools having to be built.  Mostly I think more portables would be brought in.In addition over 5,000 teachers aid positions would be eliminated.  The positions are immensely helpful to teachers not to legislatures.  Let your representatives know where you stand on these issues

Everyone keeps talking about the Red Hot Eeal Estate market in Cary, North Carolina.  Seriously, there is only one month supply of homes in Cary, North Carolina between $300k and $400k.  That means that every single home on the market can be sold in just one month!!!  Another mind boggling statistic - 62.5% of all of the homes listed in Cary, North Carolina have sold within 30 days in the most recent market update. All of the homes I've sold this year in Cary they have all been within one month and many with multiple offers on Day 1.  I am thankful to have sellers willing to have faith in me to sell their home quickly.  I'm also thankful to be a listing agent for Fonville Morisey in Cary, North Carolina

I’ve recently been working with a professional organizer on my homes that are getting ready for the market.  I’ve found that, for the most part, I can assist the home sellers with most of the home staging.  However, I never knew there is such a great group of professional organizers that come in and can work wonders with clients!   Most home sellers live comfortably and things start to accumulate over time.  Having a resource like an organizer is invaluable.  Decluttered, depersonalized, and organized rooms demonstrate dimensions, architectural details, natural light, and views to buyers.  The problem is that most sellers don’t see their homes in the same light.  It’s the Realtor’s job to educate the sellers and visually show them how it can make a difference.   Here are some tips I’ve...

As I wrote about in my last post, when my wife and I moved to "Raleigh" from San Diego, we really didn't know all that much about the area. We had made the decision to pack up the U-haul and move here based more upon the areas geographical location than most of the other factors;  we wanted to be far enough north so that it had all four seasons,  we wanted it to be fairly close to the moutains and the ocean and we wanted to be within a days drive of our families back in the Mid-west/Mid-south (where we were from). When we got here after road warrioring it across the country, we were dog tired and in search of a pet friendly hotel that we could utilize as our home base while we tried to figure out where we wanted to live. Having some Hilton Rewards points to burn we found a pet-friendly H...
