Although I've never been a fanatic about history I do appreciate when I have the opportunity to take a great listing in an historic town. The town is Funkstown, Maryland and they are gearing up for their "Old Tyme Christmas" celebration. The event will be held on December 11, 2009 from 6PM - 9PM at the town hall. I suppose there are those who would rather attend an event at a major city with 100,000 of their closest friends but I think there's something to be said for small town charm. Events include a performance by the kindergarten class, a bonfire, local talent and the winner of the best ornament contest! Perhaps I'm showing my age here but I think there's something to be said for innocence. Funkstown was actually originally named Jerusalem. The town was founded by Jacob and Ann Func...

There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional in frederick- integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network, all of which are hallmarks of how I work. That said, in my experience as a Frederick real estate professional, I've also found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting my clients first. This "client first" philosophy has always been my approach and it requires me to continually improve my skills and ways of doing business. In addition,as an expert in frederick I've found that the latest techn...

Amid the stacks of legal documents waiting to be signed, the stresses of last-minute negotiations and the unappealing prospect of packing up all your belongings, sometimes your children--and the feelings they're encountering--get lost in the shuffle. Tip #3 - Prepare Your Kids for Moving Day As you prepare to move, you'll want to make a concerted effort to ensure that your children are in the loop. While they may be going about their normal routine with no visible sign of anxiety, it's there--or will be there once the big day arrives. After all, moving means change: new friends, a new school, new places to go and a new set of concerns and worries. With home buying and refinancing at high levels, checking credit reports should be on everyone's list of financial obligations. If yes, contact the credit reporting agency by certified mail, with a return receipt requested. Lenders have 30 days from receipt to correct or confirm a challenged entry. Does the report include inf...
