  Hey all, South Boston, as you probably know is a very popular place these days.  It's popularity sustained and grew from it's proximity to Boston but from social standpoint it had two very popular bars that young professionals went to, The Playwright and Boston Beer Garden. These places were always happening all throughout the week and daytime to grab lunch or afternoon drinks.  These places remind me of the Joshua Tree in NYC and Somerville MA...Great bar food, plenty of new flat screen's too watch games, music playing at the night and plenty of libations to be consumed.  Just this year two more bar/restaurants have open up by the World Trade Center Building.  You could technically call this the Seaport not South Boston but it is certainly walkable for someone.  Maybe not after sever...

South Boston Real Estate Holds Its Own By Rick Winterson You'll be pleased to know that residential real estate market in South Boston is quite strong in all three key areas - selling prices, number of residential sales, and current housing stock up for sale.The median selling price for homes in South Boston (single-family, multi-family, and condo units) rose to $380,000 last year.  That's a 5% increase over the 2006 median of $360,000, and it's the same as the 2005 median - also $380,000.  The price drop of two years ago has - on average - been erased.During this interview with Jackie Rooney, he said, "South Boston's median housing prices are as high as ever.  In addition, the 2007 volume of sales is the third highest in South Boston's history, and the inventory of housing is very low....
