On Hutchinson Island in Martin County there were 229 active listings for sale.  These include homes, town homes, condos and modular homes.  Currently there are 28 listings under contract pending a sale.  In May, 11 units sold.  This sale rate results in an absorption rate of 21 months,  reflecting the predominantly slower sales of condos and the higher end ocean front homes.  (A balanced absorption rate is generally considered to be 6 months) On Hutchinson Island, it is still a buyers market. 06/07/2010
