Wolcott CT Duck Day Events . . . Pay it Forward Saturday, April 2 at Petersen Park in Wolcott, CT, the PTO of Alcott School held their annual Duck Days events. For $5.00 each contestant got to enter their duck in the 'Duck Dash' down the Mad river, which flows through the park. All contestants were load into buckets for each heat, to determine the eventual winner. Wolcott CT Food Drive . . . Paying it Forward Saturday, March 26, on what should have been a pleasant Spring Day, was the Wolcott Food Drive to stock the Wolcott CT Food Pantry. The temperature was a balmy 38 degrees, and as we drove up to the Gazebo on the Wolcott CT Town Center green, cars were likewise driving up and stopping just long enough for the volunteers to collect the food donations. I had a little assistant with me when I went, our Grandson Raphael had his own bag of food to give as well. No handing it off to anybody for him. He brought it right up to the gazebo himself. The food drive was staffed by young volunteers from the Wolcott Activity and Learning Center, and there were enough of the young people of Wolcott all there to help. Wolcott CT Food Drive March 26 2011 All over Wolcott CT there are signs posted encouraging Wolcott CT area residents to participate in replenishing the food supply at the Wolcott CT Food Pantry.
