Hello Everyone California Mortgage and Real Estate Mortgage rates continue to climb at a rapid pace. They seem to go down very, very slowly but when they increase it seems to be all of a sudden. While we are out of the low 3's and moving into the high 3's and low 4's it's still a remarkably historic time for rates and record affordability. Big changes seen in May.   By Brad Rachielles. May 2013 has brought very significant changes in the real estate market in and around Upland, CA. As suspected, prices continue to climb with average selling prices up 36.2% from this month last year (although this also reflects a substantial increase in the average size of the homes purchased). Square foot pricing is still up 13% from may 2012.   Not specifically covered here is the very significant increase in mortgage interest rates seen in the last couple of weeks. WE'RE GROWIN' and IT IS GOOD! We're all excited. Upland will soon be heralding the addition of even more great shopping and employers. Time to shop the new Upland stores. Several weeks back we enjoyed the opening of the Hobby Lobby with thousands of square feet of craft supplies, yard goods and decor items. Creative people from all over can find what they need at either this wonderful new store, or at the Michaels just across the street. It's A SELLER's Market In the Upland, CA Area...... OR IS IT? By Brad Rachielles, REALTOR, CDPE. Overall, the Upland, CA area real estate market IS what you would call a Seller's market. In my service area, there were a total of 1218 homes for sale at the end of September, and 802 homes were sold in that month. The math says that there are approximately 1.5 months of inventory, and according to the graphic scale to the right, that is solidly in the Seller's Market area. Fewer Homes + Multiple Offers + Increasing Prices = a Seller's Market. BUT, WHAT IF WE CONSIDER ONLY THE HIGHER PRICED HOMES?
