Well I'm happy to report (per LA Times) that only 9.3% of Los Angeles homeowners are under water now compared to the rest of the nation at 17%. Sadly though it seems that my own generation of homeowners ages 35-44, Gen-Exers, make up for nearly half of those negative equity homes at 45.8%!!     GENERATION X STILL DROWNING IN THEIR HOMEOWNERSHIP?   Baby Boomers and older buyers had more time to pay down debt and benefit from price run-ups before the housing crash. In some respects it reminds me of what people think of Covert Agents for the government. It is humorous in a weird way. Grounded a Coffee Establishment with Wi-Fi in Sherman Oaks, CA The landscape of Coffee shops has changed in the Greater Los Angeles area. I can remember when there were hardly any good coffee establishments anywhere in Los Angeles. Then there was the assent of the big green chain from Washington State. All of a sudden it was ‘cool’ and ‘hip’ to have a latte or a cappuccino in the Greater Los Angeles area. Now this then morphed into which neighborhoods could have the best coffee shops and competition just grew. All of a sudden business was being conducted in every coffee establishment that had Wi-Fi.
