Mainiero Square at the corner of D and Third streets, at the south end of La Verne's downtown business district, is a popular meeting place, or a refreshing spot to sit awhile and watch traffic and people pass by. The half-acre city park was dedicated in 1995 to John 'Skip' Mainiero to honor his services to the city and the University of La Verne.
