The stores are keeping ahead of the hoarders, I am looking forward to picking up some really cheap products this summer when the hoarders get tired of storing all this stuff.

Patience is not only a virtue but a necessity.  

Besides toilet paper and paper towels, nearly everything I have ordered has been delivered. If it wasn't delivered, an acceptable substitute was.

Ginger, it's a little more sparse, but nothing to complain about.  I think the grocery industry is doing a yeoman's job under the circumstances, and I'm grateful to the brave cashiers!   

Some items are a little more scarce then others but if you make the rounds to the 3 main stores we have here you will find what you need Ginger Harper .

I went to the store a week ago and there are still certain things in low/no supply. But I was able to find everything I needed.. I just had to make some substitutions.

I can get every thing I need but not everything I want. For example I want ground sirloin but the 6 packages in the cooler are ground round.

With more people eating at home the stores report that it is NOT a shortage problem but issues related to social distancing and restocking. They have the stuff but can't get it to the shelves. The more restrictive shopping hours are to allow sanitizing and restocking time.

No. We have plenty of grocery store choices so we continue to make the rounds and complete our shopping with minor exceptions. Grocery has not been much different other than the 5-6 items people are hoarding...why I have no idea when you can shop as often as you need to.

LOL a long time ago. It started 1st week of March and I think got really bad around 3/7. (I went to the store on 3/6. The solution is to order delivery.  I have been using peapod. I will give instacart a try soon.

We can't find Lysol, flour, disposable gloves. Fresh meat and produce are hit and miss. Stores are limiting purchases of toilet paper, paper towels, and chicken. It's nearly impossible to schedule a grocery delivery from anywhere.

I went last Monday, and entire aisles were empty, so shall see when I go this week.  I hear from others that there are still inventory shortages.

Ginger ~ Most stores are periodically out of TP & paper towels, with a more limited selection in fresh fruits & vegetables.  I have yet to see any store with hand sanitizer or disinfecting wipes, period.

There is a shortage  here in NH as well. Paper towels, TP, milk, eggs, wipes soap and sanitizer. Timing is eveything to go early or find when the trucks come and go. I have been able to get everything i need but running low in sanitizer as i use so much working

Not terribly so... only for paper products and even those I manage to find.

Getting better approaching normal once beyond the "mob" mentality. You would think that MFG would go into hyper-drive by now. Hire-up & sell!

Our local grocery has a shortage, or is completely empty, of paper towels, chicken and rice.

We have root cellars, canned good pantries of food we grew ourselves. There is a freezer full of local beef and other meat. We bake bread, cook baked beans, fire up the crock pot. There is a local dairy, many of us have chickens so plenty of eggs and we know where they came from, what the hens were fed. We heat with wood, have next years all cut, stacked and seasoning. Working on the year after that. So other than toilet paper, the basic flour, sugar, coffee, we are golden in small rural Northern Maine. Feel so bad for NYC and other large population centers where you don't plant a garden and bread on the shelves is getting low. But as for TP, take a seat, rest and relax because Maine is firing up the paper making machines and got your hind end covered.

 No.  Even toilet paper is returning to the shelves.

 The only hassle was at Trader Joe's the other day.  They are counting how many people are inside, and making everyone stand in line outside to be let in one at a time.  I like Trader Joe's, but when we saw that line we drove off and went to The Fresh Market instead.

Local manager told my wife they are getting about 1/3 of what they order, so limited supplies coming in means bare shelves.  But it's not local people or stores causing it.

When items are found they are twice the price as normal. Deliveries are taking 2-3 weeks. 

Definitely.  However, we are not visiting grocery stores.

We are counting on home delivery and this is not without challenges.
