There's a list of places you can stay that's included with your TS. You have to pay for your airfare regardless. If you use it then it's a good idea. I personally wouldn't do it, I like being unrestricted.

The only advantages I know of are to the people who make money selling them and then reselling them when the owners realize they've made a big mistake.

Advantage - limited time ownership so it appears to be at lower cost. lower equity required.
