Maybe it is just a matter of time constraints. Business has been so good and there is only so much time that can be spend on matters other than business.

Maybe they just don't have any questions that need to be answered! I've only asked two or three since this Q&A has been around.

I had to "discover it", I was on here for years just blogging. I think much of AR is left to assumption with no marketing gumption.

They don't know it exists !

My sense is that (an many names come to my mind) they may feel it is not a productive use of their time. 

OR they simply do not have any questions to ask the community.

I'm a regular... and maybe in all the time Q&A has been up, I've asked four questions. I don't ask unless I have a legitimate question to ask. But always happy to answer them!

I'll bite.  Because when you have a serious question, it gets lost in questions about whose birthday it is, sitcoms you watched, and other "trivia."  This place feel like Facebook, which is something I use only minimally. 

I scroll through daily and sometimes go through pages to find a question that doesn't seem absolutely senseless to ask, no less answer.

It's probably a number of factors - lack of interest, limited time, they don't know about it, they've heard the periodic uproar around the Q and A

They may not have any questions - or are shy about the site. I find it a lot of fun, and can get some interesting discussions going.

Keep asking them to do so...

Hi Fred - Over my years of membership, I think I may have asked less than a handful of questions and then it was for a contest/challenge where it was a requirement.  

If I have a legitimate question, I can find many members who I can call/email/text and find the answer.   This section is quick/easy and have "met" members I may not have found elsewhere in this forum.   Overall, it's an opportunity to see how people react to questions, see what they know and the interaction that takes place between members -- an interesting place to "visit".    

Chances are if I have a specific question, I've been here long enough to know who the relevant subject matter experts are and I'll reach out to them directly rather than post something here.  I think the only times I've posted in the Q&A section it's not been a true question, but more of an announcement type thing where I'm pointing to something Bob Stewart or someone else has posted.  Bill

I don't know why others don't but, most of my questions require answers from our State attorneys. Since every state is different, I often can't make a decision based on recommendations from those from other areas. 

I think I've asked one question here! LOL

I do love helping others by answering their questions though!

I'm not even sure how or why I discovered Q&A.  I suppose some people just never do.

I think it's because of the format, which I've mentioned before. The Q&A section works well as a "water cooler" or a points mill but it's not set up well for sharing information.

For some, the Q&A section is a time waster. Others have different priorities.

If they want to ask a question, they will.

It was a long time before I did!

Many of the questions can be answered with an easy search on Google. 

I think that many feel the questions don't really get good answers. That's a shame because it's not for the points.

I dunno, Fred.  I've never really taken the Q&A section very seriously.  It's always filled with jokes, and such. 

It's never really seemed to gain any decent traction, so I don't bother.

There are not many true questions, mostly just a fun section.  The true questions get lost.

Agreed with most of the answers, maybe they are too busy, who knows!

I certainly don't spend as much time in the Q & A section as I should and I don't really even have a good excuse.  When I take time to check it out, I always learn something new!

It took me a long time to come to Q & A but here all the time now.

I only discocvered this a few months ago.. not sure when it was implemented and I have been a member for many years.  I have only asked a few questions when I need to ask one.... It's not something I do on a regular basis. I have learned a lot by just looking at the answers others have given.

Fred Griffin From seeing the comments awhile back, I think some members would like to see it done away with.

I don't ask very many questions here.  Since it is mostly fluff.

I suspect - though I may well be wrong - that the points offered here for asking questions - 10 points per question, 1 question per day max - don't make it worth their while of their time here is limited.  As with most things AR, increasing the points almost always increases participation - think contests, etc.
