" Likes" are useless without engagement.

Aside from sharing my posts on FB, I also post local events, attractions and restaurants. When I boost and run ads, I target locals as well as who currently live in the northeast. Also have a community page that's for residents only, it is a closed group where I post anything and everything about the community, invite for sale by owners to post their homes for sale as well. Another good thing to do is to interview a local business owner and post the video on your community and/or business page and boost it by targeting local residents only.

For others, you may want to use Facebook Ads - or use the link to your business page in each and every communication you make with everyone.

I give away a YETI cup monthly.  I have a drawing among those who "like" my page, like, share or comment on any post during the month.  It's been pretty succesful.

Keep posting interesting things on there and people will find you, but if it is only listings then they will just keep going.

I post plenty of my blog posts on my 4 fb business pages, along with other interesting things shared from the internet in general and from things found on fb.

Just like tv or any other media, post fun stuff, interesting stuff to keep them interested, and sprinkle in a few adds to pay the bills.

I've heard of people offering to put people who like the page into a drawing for an Amazon gift card. 

I have a personal facebook page and everything goes there.... fully transparent....personal and business....

I give answers to what I think the community wants to hear and learn from their top expert agent. I post on it at least once a day with community announcements.

I am not in the position to answer this as I think mine sucks. I have good info that I push to it but get any business?  Nawww.  I know that others say I have to pay to play but I haven't done it for the page itself.

I do get good results from FB ads for a home eval.

I like pages that interest me.  Watching for answers to your question.  I don't get a lot of engagement on my fb business page.  I share recipes, crafts and real estate info.

Sorry ... no help here.  I do very little "promoting" ... other than my blog posts.  I may look into doing something early next year.

I'll pay to promote it periodically and that is the most affective way that has worked for me.
