Building on the idea of FORD questions has anyone got a copy of the 26 questions - based on the alphabet- that you should be able to answer about your clients - for example A for alumni affiliation

26 questions?!?! Yikes! I'm sorry, but I've been working with a buyer for a few months now and I don't know nearly that much about her! Why would I need to know (or even care) where they went to school? I know what they need in their house, what their situation is, pertanent details (kids, activities, etc.) that help direct the house search.

For my two cents, I have enough mission critical information to keep straight, why would I want to clutter it up with extraneous info?

Sorry, I just don't get it. Conversation and time builds the rapport. Asking questions can guide that, but you don't want a long list. At that point I might as well interogate them.

I would think that along with the FORD questions, that any "alphabet type" questions would tie into all those categories during the course of normal conversation. It's all about breaking the ice and making the prospect talk about themselves. By doing this, you can gather the appropriate information that will determine your best course of action in turning them into a client.
