Reasons I love living in Payson, AZ: No hurricanes No tsunamis No earthquakes No terrorists No riots... This list can go on endlessly. BUT ...we DO have one problem. And this time of year it's a big one. WILDFIRES. There is a fire burning right now about 20 miles from Payson, near Christopher Cr...

Hi From Payson Hi, from Payson, Arizona. Inventory of homes for sale is definately climbing in Payson. I checked listings (residential- any kind) added in Payson proper for each month of 2007. January added 42, February added 37, March 81, April 88, and there are already 19 new listings in May. (...

I Love This Picture! We took this picture looking north to the Mogollan Rim from near the Payson airport. The Rim is about 20 miles north of Payson in this picture. Monsoon clouds are building over the Rim, with a "thunder-boomer" probably coming down Payson way later in the day.

Hi from Payson, AZ. By no means everyone in Arizona knows where Payson is (I know this by the blank looks I get when I mention it to someone in Phoenix). We're about an hour and a half drive north of the Phoenix area, and about 5,000 ft. UP. Long-time residents have their own vocabulary. These ar...

Hi, from Payson, AZ ! We are considering buying another "fixer-upper", and so have been checking out market data for 2007. We are looking at site-built homes. Now I've had a number of people from "back east" ask me what the heck a site-built home is. In Arizona it means a home built on the site, ...

OK, SO I'm exaggerating. But it does totally amaze me how many people seem to find Payson, Arizona, and are interested in buying homes here. Payson is a very small town. When we moved here 14 yrs ago the population was 8,000+. The last I heard I think we are now up to about 15,000. When I am down...

Just thought I would add this "for pretty". It is a picture of the Mogollan Rim, about 20 miles north of Payson. We took it from near the Payson airport on a summer day with a monsoon storm building over the Rim. AWWW- isn't that nice?

Since I would much rather "play" on the computer than work, here I am trying something new. We're in Payson, which is a small (under 16,000) town about an hour and a half drive north  of the Phoenix metro area (and 5,000 ft up). SO we're close enough to drive down to shop, for entertainment, etc....
