I have always thought the Conferance Championship Games were the best. Even bigger than the Superbowl.  This year's games are between the KC Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. On the NFC side we have the Philidelphia Eagles up against the Washington Commanders. I am predicting both underdogs win today and move on to the Superbowl.  My predictions are: Buffalo 38KC          35 Washington 27Philidelphia   24 what are your picks? I have been a dog lover for many years. It is rare that I feed my dogs table food or even dessert. I found the information below on a website blog where I purchase natural products, NuNaturals.com.  I have never given my dogs jello or gelatin. According to the article below, there are some health benefits from giving your dog gelatin. What Is Gelatin?  Powdered gelatin is the one beneficial ingredient in jello. This pure protein is a naturally occurring substance from collagen found in humans’ and animals’ skin, bones, ligaments, and tendons. The gelatin product you can buy is made from either boiled cow and pig hides and bones that have been dried, then treated and filtered (we use beef for our gelatin powder product). The collagen is extracted from this mixture, dried, ground down, and...

There are many great places to camp throughout North Dakota but my family and I particularly like one site because it's close to home and on a lake that is excellent for swimming, fishing, and all activities related to camping. The site is on Lake Audubon, a man made lake created along with Lake Sakakawea when the Garrison Dam was built in 1947 to 1953 .On occasion we are unable to get our camping spot of choice and that is what this blog post is about, how to secure the camping spot of your choice. Not every campsite is Federally operated but our spot is, most are State, County, Municipal, or privately owned. To secure our site we must go to RECREATION.gov.The next step is to click on the picture below that says Camping & Lodging.Because I always log in the site recognizes me thus it co...

The building was once the retail outlet for Freihofer's food products. On this day it was just an appreciation of a flying flag.Friday Flags A Friendly Breeze in Naugatuck CT

Friday Fun…Gifts to Others & Yourself There are two things being celebrated today.  Both can and should be celebrated every day. Both are gifts to be shared with others as well as yourself.  Today is Global Belly Laugh Day and National Compliment Day. There is nothing I like better than an all-out belly laugh…laughing so hard I cry. The website asks that at 1:24 PM (local time) you  “bounce a smile and laugh around the world."This "belly laugh bounce" is done by throwing one's arms in the air and laughing out loud.” If you don’t yet know the health benefits of laughter, read this and you’ll want to bump up your laugh meter. For me…a day without laughter is…well, it’s not going to happen!!! NEXTIt’s National Compliment Day!  You know those little hearts (💗) or smiley faces (😃) that peopl...

Closing Thoughts as Another MonthApproaches Its End. . .  Sooner or later, everything old is new again”  attributed to Stephen King January can be special for many reasons. There is something to be said for being first, right?  But along with being placed in the front of most calendars, January is a time when resolutions are made, predictions are forecast, and many sorts of other occurrences can seem both unprecedented yet so typical.  Perhaps it's in the repetitiveness of the yearly scenario that we see the sluggishness of speed. Doesn't that underscore the movement of ordinariness. A contradiction? Maybe, something else. So, here are quotes from some who capture such things much better than this wandering, pondering observer. While they may seem to have little or nothing in common, th...
