I have a found a jewel in Wyoming<< Thermopolis >> Thermopolis, Wyoming is nestled among the foothills of the Owl Creek Mountains and resting beside the Big Horn River.  Thats Right it was a whopping 21 degrees BELOW zero a couple nights ago, and yet all the agents in the office the next day were working with buyers in the under 110,000 dollar market :)  Thermopolis has seen a cool down in homes priced over $200,000 as markets in the surrounding states IE: CA, CO, MT, UT slow down.  These buyers are thrying to sell their homes in these states only to find out their home is not worth what it was a year ago.  Now there dream of cashing out into a small acerage home is out of the picture leaving thermopolis sellers stranded even though our market is strong still.  But that under $110,000 dollar home is so hot becuase the average home buyer here in town can afford almost to a $200,000 ,combined with quiet a few first time home buyers and the fact that the ... 01/23/2008

Thought I would do a little advertising for Thermopolis, Wy Today.....  It is a wonderful 80 degrees Slight breeze blowing,  I took my kids swimming down at the Star Plunge today, part of the Worlds Largest Mineral Hot Springs and they loved every min of it.  My two year old son ran and played so hard that by the end he could hardly walk straight :)  I am now sitting in my home with the windows open enjoying the breeze as my 10 month old crawls around my feet :) what a glorious day here.  I truly hope everyone is having such a fine day......... Chris In Thermopolis, WY 08/25/2007

Demolition Derby Below is off Thermopolis.com Home Page.....   I went to my first Demolition Derby last year, Holy Cow what en event first no one really dress up here for much any.  My oh my they were decked out I couldn't believe it, I run the Dairyland here and our kids were trying to leave 2 3 hrs before to go get ready.  Are you serious!  Then I went and it was a giant Get together not just a Red Neck hangout, Don't get me wrong it is that too, but really people standing around talking and hanging out like it was a house warming party.  The last get together of the year, and all the kids have on there new school clothes, just a wild thing any how here is the info on the Derby this year, come on out and enjoy   Come join us August 18th at 7pm, Calcutta begins at 6:30, for the annual ... 08/17/2007

Hello All       Well I am having some issue with Fannie Mae and was wondering if anyone here has worked with properties that they own.  They FNMA own a couple acres and a mobile home here in Thermopolis, I show a sheriffs deed dated 08/05 and they still have not put it on the market.   I called FNMA and the young lady just said they wont do anything with it till they list it.  Well it has been off the market for over a year and is just sitting there.  Poor Property LOL any how if anyone has a suggestion for me I would greatly appreciate it.  Here is a neat back ground pic   my wife took this when we were in Alaska,  right out my parents drive way.  02/12/2007

December of 2006 for me a new real estate agent seemed really slow.  I know that some of the other agents in the office seemed busy but I think it is do to the fact they allready have conections. When a new house comes on the market they have buyers waiting here.  even in the little town of Thermopolis the first time home buyer is almost priced out of the market.  anyhow i am curious how peoples Dec of 06 have gone.  Have a Merry Christmas everyone! 12/20/2006
