No it is not the latest romantic movie out of Hollywood. It is true we have two historic covered bridges in Greenbrier County. They are some of the true gems of our beautiful countryside. Both bridges are listed on the National Historic Registure and one is still in use today, allowiing vehicles to drive through the unique structure.     Herns Mill Bridge is located just out of Lewisburg. Erected in 1879 Herns Mill Bridge is a 54-foot long covered bridg. It spans Milligans Creek about four miles from Lewisburg. This bridge is a queenpost truss design bridge and there seems to be a little discepancy in the date the bridge was built. Some articles say 1884 for the date of construction. The bridge was bought by the county in 1884 for a total of $800.00 and in 2000 the bridge was reconstruc...

I don't know about you but every once in a while something just hits you like a load of bricks and you think why didn't I think of that? I recently ran across this great campaign that is now nationwide and I think it is absoluelty great. I know things are hard for just about everyone these days and to me this is a great way to support your local community and most importantly local retailers. Everyone is looking for something that will contribute to help the situation get better and to me this is a great way to support the local market and local people in our community. If you feel the same take a look at this great idea from "the 350project" and if you are a local retailer, salesperson, or eating establishment. You need to become a part of this great idea and what a great idea it is. ...
