 If you are looking for something to do after all the holiday events have ended, check out the January events scheduled for the Greenbrier Valley Brewery Company.... yoga, chili cook off and a painting workshop. On January 7th and 21st - Yoga, Body, & Beer, from 5:30 to 6:45pm.                Today was a warm sunny day for the Lewisburg Christmas Parade. Spectators were already getting their spots around noon for this annual event that started on Washington Street at 1:00pm.  The Capitol Steps return to Carnegie Hall for the holidays on Thursday, December 10th at 7:30PM.  The Capitol Steps are a troupe of Congressional staffers-turned-comedians who travel the States satirizing the very people and places that once employed them. The Steps perform over 500 shows a year all over the country. The Capitol Steps were born December, 1981 when three staffers for Senator Charles Percy were planning entertainment for a Christmas party. Their first idea was to stage a nativity play, but in the whole Congress they couldn't find three wise men or a virgin!   This is a different type of auction...it is an all-sweet auction!  This was the third year for the Greenbrier Valley Board of Realtors Cake Auction for "Feed the Need" Food Drive 2015.  The auction was held during the GVBOR's meeting on Thursday, November 19, 2015.   Terry Baker, Realtor®, Home Style Realty & Design, made an assortment of homemade cakes and pies for the Feed the Need Cake Aution.  In December 2012, local teen Brady Mickey was a happy, healthy 13 year-old boy. He began feeling ill in February 2013 and in March was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic adenocarcinoma. Over the past three years, Brady has undergone extensive chemotherapy treatments. Yet throughout it all, his spirits have remained high and he has tried to continue his normal activities.
