After spending 4 hours trying to get my mobile phone to back up on my computer using Outlook I searched the Internet for a better solution. My mobile phone uses Windows Mobile. I found out how to back my contacts up on Google using gmail and I also created a back up on my Thunderbird e-mail software. Google also has a calendar that will sync with the phone. I entered in a number of appointments on the Google calendar, synced it with my phone and it worked. The phone sets off an alarm and the Google calendar sets up a pop up on the PC. It is much easier than it sounds. MAKE SURE YOU BACK UP YOUR CONTACTS LIST FROM YOUR PHONE BEFORE TRYING THIS PROCESS. You will see this warning throughout the instructions. So I am reading the paper yesterday and I see:  Menomonee Falls man shoots a golden retriever - he said he thought it was a coyote. I look closer at the article and the person lives on the 4800 block of Dolphin Drive.  NOW this really gets my attention. This person lives a few hundred yards from ME!!  The police walked threw the wooded area WHERE I WALK MY SIMBA every day to see who shot this poor girl!  A neighbors' Golden Retriever is shot by another neighbor - OH MY GOSH!!!! The golden is 9 months old.  Poor girl.... must have been quite the frightening experience fo her. SHE IS OK.  He shot her with a rifle, the bullet went through her shoulder.  I saw her on TV later in the evening and she is doing fine. Sales of Condominiums in Menomonee Falls show a total of 75 sales year to date.  This is higher than the 2007 numbers.  The total for 2007 was 61 sales.  This is a 23% increase over last year.  There likely will be some properties closing before year end, changing the numbers a little bit. New listings coming on the market are down 7% from last year.   There is still a good amount of inventory for buyers to choose from. With severe weather warnings going on and General Mitchell Airport in Milwaukee closing this morning, I decided to work from home today.  I thought it might be safer to stay around the house, not drive - that would be better for my health. My Simba sure enjoyed the day.  There is something about snow that Golden Retrievers just love.  Since it is still snowing, I played "let dog in, let dog out" most of the day.   I'd love to have the job of a weatherman.  They never have to be accurate.  Just vague. The reports said, somewhere between 6 -10 inches of snow for the storm and it should end around noon.  It has been snowing since last night.  It is now after 4 pm and guess what?  It is STILL snowing.  Now the temperatures have dropped below freezing and the roads are a mess. The GOOD NEWS IS:  Menomonee Falls has experienced increasing or steady sales for 5 out of the last 6 months.  The numbers  for the year are still down from 2007 but they are improving.  The sales for November  were 19 - dead even with 2007. New listings in November were 30, a bit higher than the 26 for last year. Since January we have seen fewer homes coming on the market than 2007.  We are down over 19.3% for the year. This indicates the market is getting better, with fewer homes in inventory and a little quicker sales for the properties that are on the market. One of the newest strip centers in the Falls now has opened a medical center.....The Medical College of Wisconsin and Froedtert and Community Health has opened the Endocrinology Center at North Hills. This treatment center is for diabetes and other endocrine disorders.  The Menomonee Falls center is staffed by Medical College of Wisconsin faculty physicians, with expertise in diabetes, obesity, metabolic syndrome and pituitary, thyroid and lipid disorders.
