Madeline Island Tourist Season Draws to a Close

The 2007 Madeline Island tourist season appears to be winding down, with most LaPointe businesses discounting their retail inventory and notifying visitors of abbreviated open hours as October progresses. Most Madeline Island restaurants remain open. The Bell Street Tavern is open daily, from 11 a.m. until closing. Dinner is available Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Grandpa Tony's Restaurant and The Pub Restaurant both plan to remain open through October 21. Lotta's Lakeside Cafe will be open through October 27. The Mission Hill Coffee House opens at 7 a.m. and closes weekdays at 2 p.m., weekends at 5 p.m. The Madeline Island Museum will be open October 19 and 20, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Motion To Go plans to remain open through October 20th.
