Proposed amendments that would revise Closed-end mortgage disclosures to highlight potentially risky features such as adjustable rates, prepayment penalties, and negative amortization and prevent mortgage loan originators from "steering" consumers to more expensive loans. Should Realtors increase there commission? I believe that Realtors should move up their commission rates. Below are reasons why it should be moved up. 1) The increased amount of short sales, foreclosure and HUD homes. 2) Dealing with banks, asset management companies, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. 3) Lending becoming more and more difficult. 4) HVCC-need I say more. All these variables have made it very difficult for Realtors to earn a good income. I am not a Realtor but I have seen many friends and colleges leave the industry. Big changes to FHA-January 1, 2010 1) The funding source of any FHA loan must have one million dollars in funds verified by FHA. 2) Brokers will no longer need to be individually certified by FHA to do FHA loans. 3) The streamline refinance as we know it today will no longer by available to borrowers. Item number two concerns me. Opening the door to all brokers to do FHA does not sound like a good idea. I have been doing FHA and VA loans for a very long time. FHA and conventional mortgages are a world of difference and opening FHA to everyone scares me. FHA

I found this article over the weekend and it’s rather disturbing. I know there was a lot of hype over BPA and water bottles recently but it’s also found in a lot more places than that and it turns out it’s much easier to get into your body than previously thought. If it’s that bad for you or babies it’s hard to say at this point but the article points out that heating up baby bottles made of BPA could lead to even more BPA being released which could be really bad for infants. For the most part GPS was a pretty new thing about 10 years ago or so. The units were expensive and seemed unnecessary for the most part. Sure people get lost navigating a new city but how often did this happen that you would spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars to avoid it when a $3 map would probably do the trick. Well the technology got cheaper and it got smaller and better. Now GPS units are in phones and almost everywhere but what would happen if this technology suddenly broke down? There are two types for the most part, for profit and the ones that are still trying to unlock whether or not aliens landed or if we landed on the moon. Now the latter is generally harmless. They might do something prankish here or there such as the Palin incident but for the most part it’s nothing malicious. They aren’t stealing your pin number and it’s more or less a game. You might have seen this in the news lately and it’s really nothing new but FaceBook is under another attack where some group is phishing for passwords. You can read more about it here. When I say this is nothing new I mean that there is always something like this going on. Everyone always asks why anyone would do this but of course its money. My wife and I have been trying to green things up so to speak and we thought one of the ways that we could cut down on waste was with what many call yard waste. This might seem like an easy enough question with a simple enough answer. In fact they are marketing your home when they put the sign in the yard. They are marketing the home to anyone who happens to drive by.
